RAPPERS RULE AT PARIS FASHION WEEK

Here are two things you don’t see very often at a Kenzo menswear fashion show in Paris: First we saw Cardi B’s rough and tumble husband Offset, wearing Kenzo flower print denim with a BABUSHKA! We remember babushkas from Chicago – older Polish and Russian women wore these headscarves tied under the chin. Looks like Babushkas are a thing with rappers now… Also in the crowd outside the Kenzo show, it was nice to see new Louis Vuitton Creative Director Pharrell Williams and his wife Helen dressed head to toe in Kenzo THEMSELVES – supporting another designer! We’ve never seen THAT before. Pharrell is making lots of friends on his new job…

Hair! Machine Gun Kelly Punk Rapper

PINK HAIR WORKS FOR MACHINE GUN KELLY

His hair is obviously important to Machine Gun Kelly so we hope he avoids catching Covid and losing some of it. He revealed his new look – pink hair -at a performance with Avril Lavigne at The Roxy this week and some of his fans were not thrilled. One fan griped “You aren’t Machine Gun Kelly any more!” Kelly HAS been wearing a lot more pink and even performed with a pink guitar. Some fans don’t like the fact that he seems to have gone from rapper to punk rocker since he took up with Megan Fox. We’re not sure where the manicures and pinky rings fit in…

Actor Chet Hanks Rapper Tom Hanks

CHET HANKS: “I’M THE BLACK SHEEP OF THE FAMILY”

Musician/actor Chet Hanks is the first to admit that his father Tom Hanks’ clean cut image makes him look like a bad boy. Chet, 30, started off rapping at Northwestern University where he was actually in a fraternity. Besides music, he’s been getting steady work as an actor, with recurring roles on Empire and Shameless. He struggled with substance abuse and in 2015 he broke down and went to rehab for cocaine addiction. He’s had his share of girlfriend problems- involving restraining orders, lawsuits etc, so he’s definitely no Tom Hanks. But he’s been getting acting work – NCIS: New Orleans, and has a role in Tom’s film Greyhound. Above he showed up at Doja Cat’s album release party in Hollywood.

Brian Austin Green Machine Gun Kelly Megan Fox Rapper Saturday Night Live

MG KELLY GOT BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN’S WIFE AND HIS CAREER!

Thanks to his highly publicized romance with Megan Fox, Machine Gun Kelly appeared on Saturday Night Live for the first time this week. Megan Fox spent the week in New York with Kelly while he was prepping for the show. We can only imagine how Megan’s soon-to-be-divorced husband Brian Austin Green felt – he was back home taking care of their three young sons. (The 3 boys all have pretty faces like Megan, but they have very long hair and sometimes wear skirts) Certainly Brian must have felt some pain knowing Kelly and his wife were celebrating the musician’s TV performance. Remember, Brian aspired to be a rapper early in his career, but it never happened. We wonder if he allowed the boys to watch Kelly on SNL- it was on at 8:30 in LA…

TYLER THE CREATOR: A NON-THREATENING RAPPER?

Here we go again with fashion madman Tyler the Creator. He knows how to get attention – he appeared in the slickly dressed crowd of celebrities at the LACMA gala dressed like THIS! The golf hat and khaki shorts are wildly inappropriate and got him a lot of attention. We have never seen a rapper courageous enough to dress like a nerd – and not a gold chain or diamond in sight! Most noteworthy are the Mary Jane shoes!
