AMY WINEHOUSE AND MISCHA BARTON DON’T HAVE THAT MUCH IN COMMON

Much was made of the fact that Amy Winehouse ran into MIscha Barton at the popular Camden hangout The Hawley Arms the other night. The girls were observed having a drink of some kind together – although Mischa says she has given up alcohol. They both love to party, but somehow we can’t imagine these two becoming best buddies. Above they were photographed when they left – Mischa left early and was carrying a container of guacamole, and Amy didn’t get home until 11:30 A.M.

Birthday Booze Daniel Radcliffe Harry Potter Party

HARRY POTTER STAR DANIEL RADCLIFFE DRINKS LIKE HE’S HAD PLENTY OF EXPERIENCE

His friends were amazed by Daniel Radcliffe’s hard partying stamina in Russia where he celebrated his 21st birthday. Daniel and his buddies went to a St Petersberg club where the diminutive Harry Potter star downed one vodka shot after another – and, pounding on the bar, he encouraged everyone else to do the same. Soon he was dancing on chairs, singing karaoke, and he was reportedly “laughing like a hyena” all night. He staggered out at 4 AM without his shoes, still laughing. The next day he flew back to London (where the drinking age is 18) and continued partying, appearing none the worse for wear.

Complaint Madonna Party

WHILE MADONNA THE CAT’S AWAY, THE MICE WILL PLAY

Madonna was slapped with a noise abatement order by council officers in her fancy London neighborhood because of something that happened when she was out of town. One recent Sunday several of her neighbors complained that there was extremely loud music and raucous singing coming from her house. Officers investigated and spoke to partygoers on the entry phone – they were told the property owner was not home. After warnings were issued about noise pollution, the party quieted down to a tolerable level. We can’t help but wonder WHO was doing the partying – surely Lourdes was with her mother, wherever she was. That leaves the household help – are they SO repressed and resentful that they have to cut loose when Madonna is away?

Apparently she and Johnny and their kids Lily-Rose, 11, and Jack, 8, go all out for the holidays. Vanessa loves the old fashioned Vine-American Party Store that’s been in Hollywood since 1934. She stocks up on all the holiday, birthday, and party decorations, balloons, favors, pinatas, not to mention magic tricks, disguises, and costumes. It’s a fun-loving family. (Above, at Disneyland)

In 1972, Playboy had it’s highest circulation EVER – 7 million. It’s been downhill since then, (for MOST magazines) and Playboy is up for sale for 300 million. Hugh Hefner’s life hasn’t changed a lot – his previous three blonde “Girls Next Door” have been replaced by younger girls. (Above, Hef and his main girlfriend Crystal Harris plus the mischievous Shannon twins.) But the party attitude HAS evolved. Nowadays the mansion is more of a venue – rented out for events and parties. And there have been cutbacks on the weekly “movie night” – there is no longer a free buffet dinner for the fifty or sixty guests! What will all those hungry moochers DO?

Are YOU thinking what WE’RE thinking about Tiger Woods’ “accident?” Surely it’s not a coincidence that this drama happened the day after the National Enquirer released the story about Tiger having an affair with New York party girl Rachel Uchitel. (photo above) Their Dec 7th issue detailed at least three trysts that Tiger and Rachel had in hotels in Las Vegas, Melbourne, and New York. (It gets lonely on those golf tours!) The odd circumstances of the crash – Tiger racing out of the driveway at 2:30 AM and hitting a hydrant and a tree, not to mention the “lacerations to his lips” and the fact that his wife Elin smashed the rear widow of the SUV with a golf club. Sounds to us like a few holiday cocktails and a scandal set off a family firestorm. We expect Elin will be getting a big diamond SOMETHING soon…..

Nicole Richie missed the launch of her own jewelry line at Bebe on Rodeo this week. She designed special affordable pieces from her “House of Harlow 1960” collection just for the store. She called in sick and the buzz at the party was that she has swine flu. Maybe that’s the buzz she INTENDED because everybody was worried about her and not annoyed by the no-show. Jay-Z is struggling to control his popular protege Rihanna because he thinks she’s cheapening her image by partying almost every night. She’s a regular at all the hot New York clubs and thinks nothing of staying out until all night and finishing up at after hours clubs. She’s hanging out with a druggy, questionable crowd and sometimes can barely walk unaided at the end of a long evening. Jay-Z assigned one of his own bodyguards to keep an eye on Rihanna, but she knows he reports back to Jay-Z, so she deliberately loses him. Jay-Z hoped Rihanna would have a hard-working good girl image like Beyonce, but she seems to be more interested in having a good time, and he’s worried.

It’s nice to be Queen Latifah’s girlfriend. The Queen rented a private room at Nobu in West Hollywood and held a private dinner party for around thirty people to celebrate her very personal trainer Jeanette Jenkins’ birthday. Outside the restaurant, a fully loaded shiny black Prius was waiting to surprise Jeanette. That’s a step in the right direction – two years ago Latifah gave Jeanette a new Range Rover.
