MARGARET QUALLEY WORKED HER WAY UP

Nice to see that Margaret Qualley, 27, got an Emmy nomination for Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for her Netflix drama Maid. She’s one of those rare children of Hollywood stars (her mother is Andie MacDowell) who find second generation success in Hollywood. (It didn’t hurt that she inherited her mother’s model looks.) When she was promoting her 2019 film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Margaret showed up at my house for a photoshoot with director Quentin Tarantino for W Magazine’s Director’s Issue. It was right before Covid started! Margaret was here all day changing outfits and hair while being photographed in just about every room in the house. Once Upon a Time took place in 1969 so the location was appropriate. She was happy and delightful all day and she aimed to please. It paid off!

JACK ANTONOFF : IT’S A WHOLE NEW WORLD

Who is Jack Antonoff? He’s a 38 year old successful musician, songwriter, and record producer (Taylor Swift, to name only one) who has won seven Grammys, and has an interesting love life. From 2012 to 2017, Lena Dunham, 36, was his girlfriend. Everybody thought they were a perfect match. Equally brainy and successful, Lena created and starred on the popular HBO series Girls. It lasted for six seasons – just about as long as her romance with Jack. Surprise! Jack has moved on and he just got engaged to young and beautiful Margaret Qualley, 27, daughter of model/actress Andie MacDowell.You may have seen Margaret in the Netflix miniseries Maid. Obviously, Jack doesn’t have a “type”- the two women are nothing alike. (Don’t feel bad, Lena moved on also, and just got married…)

MARGARET QUALLEY KNOWS WHAT GIRLS WANT: CHANEL HANDBAGS

Margret Qualley, 27, is determined to have a career like her mother Andie MacDowell’s, and she’s well on her way. She started as a model and we met her two years ago when she did a photoshoot for W Magazine at our house with Quentin Tarantino. They were promoting Once Upon a Time in Hollywood for The Director’s Issue. (right before Covid) Margaret was adorable and fun. Recently we’ve been hooked, watching her in the Netflix series Maids, a very real story about a young mother with a terrible life. In the real world her life is CONSIDERABLY better – among other things, she is now Brand Ambassador for Chanel- hence the nude-with-Chanel-handbags photo.

MARGARET QUALLEY CREDITS FKA TWIGS FOR HER COURAGE

In December we advised Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star Margaret Qualley, 26, to reconsider her romance with Shia LaBeouf after his ex-girlfriend FKA Twigs filed a lawsuit accusing him of sexual battery, assault, and verbal abuse. We can imagine Shia attempting to rationalize the situation to Margaret, assuring her that Twigs was just a disgruntled ex. But not long after that, Sia stepped up with HER allegations against Shia and others followed. Margaret finally managed to split from Shia in January (No doubt to the great relief of her mother Andie MacDowell) Margaret had not spoken about her Shia relationship until she posted on Instagram a photo of Twigs on the cover of Elle magazine, and simply captioned it: “Thank you.” ( We’re guessing she started noticing negative things about Shia’s behavior, and got out before anything bad happened… life lesson learned.

MARGARET QUALLEY FINALLY WISED UP AND SPLIT WITH SHIA LABEOUF (WE HOPE)

The new year is looking a lot brighter for Andie MacDowell since it appears her daughter Margaret Qualley came to her senses. Margaret has been dating Shia LaBeouf for the past few months and they’ve been photographed together looking quite affectionate. Naturally Andie was alarmed when Shia was publicly charged with abusive behavior by past girlfriends. In defending himself he blamed his mistreatment of women on his alcoholism. Margaret felt a lot of negative backlash for dating a guy like that. Next thing we knew, SOMEONE tattled to People magazine that Shia and Margaret split and that she “wants to concentrate on her career.” Good choice- Margaret’s career is hot now and she hopes to keep it that way.

MARGARET QUALLEY: CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED!

Certainly Andie MacDowell was more than a little worried when her youngest daughter Margaret Qualley was dating Pete Davidson. Pete had a problematic reputation with women but he didn’t seem dangerous. Since she appeared in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Margaret has been a hot commodity in Hollywood- she’s made 14 films in the last 7 years. Fast forward to Margaret’s latest boyfriend: of all people, Shia LaBeouf. Shia and Margaret met while filming a music video with her sister a few months ago. Suddenly their romance is noteworthy because Shia is being sued by his ex-girlfriend FKA Twigs and charged with sexual battery, assault and relentless abuse. To make it worse, another Shia ex, singer Sia, came forward and said she had a similar relationship with the volatile actor, who admits he’s an alcoholic who mistreats women. Little chance of Andie having a peaceful Christmas…

ANDIE MACDOWELL IS WALKING WITH HER BEST FRIENDS

Five years ago, Groundhog Day star Andie Macdowell sold her South Carolina property and moved lock stock and barrel to Los Angeles to be closer to her two daughters. It turns out, Andie liked it here SO much that she’s bought several properties and she’s now living in the Hollywood Hills. Her lucky daughters Rainey, 30, and Margaret, 25, inherited those model genes (dad Paul Qualley was a model too.) The girls are both getting work as actors and Margaret hit the lottery when she got a part in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. You can see Margaret in Seberg with Kristen Stewart on Netflix right now. As for Andie, she’s single and ready to mingle…

PETE DAVIDSON CONTINUES HIS LUCKY STREAK

SNL goofball Pete Davidson continues batting 1000 when it comes to girlfriends. We thought Ariana Grande might be a one-hit wonder and after she split, Pete would have to lower his standards a bit. But no, he soon hooked up with Kate Beckinsale and they were seen together on both coasts. Kate’s moved on, but Pete is on a roll – now he’s hanging out with Andie MacDowell’s beautiful daughter Margaret Qualley. We can picture Pete falling for Margaret in her role as the flirtatious free-love chick, Pussycat, in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. But in real life she’s more of a classic beauty than a rock chick – and they make a surprising couple. Now they’re in Venice for the premier of her new film Seberg.
