KRISTEN WIIG CLEANED UP NICE FOR THE SAG AWARDS

While perusing red carpet photos from the SAG awards we were struck by this picture of Kristen Wiig. First of all, she looks quite pretty – her comedy characters are usually monumentally unattractive. Also we like the simplicity of her understated outfit – she’s not trying too hard to outglam anyone, but she looks sure of herself. Best of all, the SNL alum didn’t ADVERTISE the designer – implying that she MIGHT have picked out the apparel herself. Also, no obvious borrowed jewelry. She didn’t pick up an award but the Zoolander 2 star scored with us.

Kristen Wiig tearfully said goodbye to Saturday Night Live when she departed the TV show a few weeks ago. But the Bridesmaids star has a bright future in movies. Above, she’s filming “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” on a New York street with Ben Stiller. She currently has no less than seven movies in the works.

WHO’S THAT HOT BABE IN LEATHER? IT’S KRISTIN WIIG!

SNL and “Bridesmaids” star Kristin Wiig, 38, looked surprisingly alluring at the Oscars, but the brainy comic looks even more devastating dressed in leather by The Row for Vogue magazine. (That’s SNL costar Seth Meyers under the desk.) It makes sense that along with this newfound glamour comes a fancy new rock star boyfriend – Strokes drummer (and Drew Barrymore’s ex) Fabrizio Moretti…

“BRIDESMAIDS” SUCCESS PROVES WOMEN LIKE TO LAUGH AT THEMSELVES

Hollywood is abuzz with surprise since “Bridesmaids” turned out to be an unexpected hit. (It raked in 21.5 million – second only to “Thor.”) Why is everyone surprised? Apparently male Hollywood producers don’t think women like comedy! “Bridesmaids” has two things going for it – it’s funny and it’s ABOUT WOMEN. Sure, it’s too raunchy sometimes, and a bit overlong, but we women are starved for humor. Gangs of girlfriends got together this weekend to see “Bridesmaids” – like they did for “Sex & the City.” It was FUN! And profitable – maybe now the studios will stop to think about what females really want for a change. (Above photos– the girls in charge and Kristen Wiig with the nice-guy leading man Chris O’Dowd.
