HOWARD STERN CLEANED UP HIS ACT ON “AMERICA’S GOT TALENT” FOR 15 MILLION DOLLARS

Howard Stern reported for work in Los Angeles to start taping auditions for “America’s Got Talent” and he got a rousing ovation from the audience – considerably more than his fellow judges, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel. He proved to be a merciless judge, but not without compassion. Stern tried to let down the awful acts gently with a joke or anecdote, and he felt particularly bad about disappointing child contestants. Howard absolutely cleaned up his usually off-color act but managed to retain his smart observations and sense of humor so his fans were not disappointed. After all, he has to earn that 15 million dollar salary.

Howard Stern cleared the way for his pretty wife Beth Ostrosky to enter the David Letterman show. Stern is promoting his new 15 million dollar job as judge on America’s Got Talent. The entire show is relocating to New York, just for Howard! He and the other judges, Howie Mandel and Sharon Osbourne, are leaving this month to travel across the country looking at performers and Stern’s already warned them to expect some changes. Howard might actually add some life to the show.

HIS WIFE BETH MADE HOWARD STERN A BETTER PERSON

Howard Stern’s beautiful wife Beth appeared on the Good Morning America show introducing her 2012 Animal League Calendar to raise money for her animal charity and promote pet adoption. Howard took all the photos of Beth with adoptable pets in the $20 calendar. You’ve got to hand it to Beth – she turned her wealthy husband into a big softie for animals and now he’s generous with his time and money for her charity.

HOWARD STERN DOESN’T WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW HE GOT A 100 MILLION DOLLAR SALARY CUT

We were a bit turned off by Howard Stern’s tirade on his Sirius radio show because someone had leaked that he had taken a pay cut. Apparently he lambasted the deal-makers at Sirius. (We heard this second hand because we don’t subscribe to Sirius.) Anyway, Howard was apoplectic at the idea of people thinking he accepted LESS than his contract five years ago (before the recession) for 500 million dollars. Analysts at The Hollywood Reporter say Howard with take home the same paycheck but lose the stock portion of his compensation, resulting in a salary of about 400 million for the next five years. Of course he might work less than his current four days a week – sure to upset his fans. Somehow we liked the OLD Howard better – when we could afford to listen to him and his income hadn’t moved into the stratosphere.

DAVID ARQUETTE IS TOO HONEST FOR COURTENEY COX

David Arquette’s shockingly honest interview with Howard Stern about what happened to his marriage clearly illustrates the difference between him and his estranged wife Courteney Cox .We can’t remember the last time we heard a celebrity tell his story with such endearing sincerity and without those hackneyed phrases supplied by their publicists. He even confessed that Courteney scolded him “I’m tired of being your mother!” David admitted they were separated, he emphasized that he still loves his “amazing” wife and he owned up to seeing another woman! And he didn’t blame the “other woman,” Jasmine Waltz, for leaking the story. He said it didn’t matter. Courteney must have been apoplectic when she heard the interview – honesty with the press is not her thing. She’s secretive and likes to control every aspect of her image. No WONDER these two split.

HOWARD STERN HAS BEDBUGS IN HIS LIMO

New Yorkers are recoiling in horror from an infestation of bedbugs and even squeamish Howard Stern has been fighting them. The building where Howard does his Sirius radio show was treated for bedbugs over the weekend and Howard sounded doubtful on the air that the problem was over. Stern was doubly horrified when trained dogs sniffed out bedbugs in his limo and THAT had to be fumigated also. Certainly, Howard must be worried about his posh apartment in the city because the bugs travel so quickly. New York is currently the epicenter of the bedbug infestation and the pests cross all boundaries – from hotels to homes to clothing stores and theaters. They are NOT easy to destroy.

We never hear and we hardly ever see Howard Stern any more, but he turned up, as usual, for the North Shore Animal League Celebrity Gala at Cipriani in New York. Mrs Stern, Beth Ostrosky, is spokesperson for the no-kill rescue organization and like other celebrities, she and Howard brought their beloved bulldog Bianca to the fundraising party. We miss hearing Howard in the morning since he went to Siruis satellite radio.
