HALLE BERRY IS LIKEABLE, BUT “FRANKIE AND ALICE” – NOT SO MUCH

Halle Berry’s new movie “Frankie & Alice” is her baby – it took her many years to get it made and she has high hopes that her performance will be noticed by the Academy. It takes place in the 70’s and the first scene in an LA go-go club features Halle as a stripper in a sexy fringe costume gyrating to Marvin Gaye music. Good start. Too bad the story degenerates into hokey psychobabble about so-called “multiple personality disorders” which seemed to flourish in the middle of the last century. The absurd psychological situation allows Halle to act like several people, but it’s very hard to take with a straight face. The acting is earnest but the premise is so silly the actors are wasted. Halle deserves a better script.

Aha! Kim Kardashian and Halle Berry’s babydaddy/exboyfriend Gabriel Aubry were photographed sitting side by side at the Lakers game last night and there was much speculation about whether they arrived together or just happened to have seats next to each other. Here’s proof that they did, indeed, arrive together (they kept five feet between them and tried to be nonchalant.) It certainly IS a date although they tried to keep it quiet. We’re not surprised – Halle has been having a very public romance with French actor Olivier Martinez.

HALLE BERRY AND HER CASANOVA, OLIVIER MARTINEZ

Halle Berry is asking for trouble. She’s pictured here walking around Paris looking awfully happy, with her “Dark Tide” costar Olivier Martinez, his dog and her friend Salma Hayek and her daughter. Halle and Olivier finished their movie, Halle flew back to LA for a week and then returned to Paris to see Olivier. Trouble is, the charming Martinez is something of a playboy and has romanced a number of famous women (including Kylie Minogue, Angelina Jolie, Mira Sorvino, and models Elsa Pataky and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.) Odds are not in Halle’s favor for a long term relationship, so hopefully she’s keeping that in mind.

This is the happiest we’ve seen Halle Berry look in a VERY long time! She’s in Cape Town, South Africa, filming “Dark Tide” with Olivier Martinez and it looks like they hit it off right away. Halle, 44, split with Gabriel Aubry not long ago, and Olivier, also 44, (remember how sexy he was in “Unfaithful?”) are pictured here BETWEEN TAKES on the set. We’re thinking there’s more than a little spark here.

HALLE BERRY IS ACCUSED OF NAGGING

Halle Berry’s NAGGING is supposedly the REAL reason that Gabriel Aubry called off their romance. Friends of the couple told RadarOnline.com that Halle wasn’t happy with Gabriel’s income and that she felt he wasn’t contributing enough to the relationship. Aubry’s model earnings are said to be around $700,000 a year, but nowhere near Halle’s. She has a movie coming out this year called “Frankie and Alice.” Basically, it sounds like the romance ran it’s course and they were both ready to move on…

Halle Berry had a girl-to-girl talk with a female friend over lunch at Rue 57 in New York. To her credit, she appeared to be a good listener – many celebrities prefer to do ALL the talking – as she nibbled on french fries. Halle has a lot to discuss herself – she’s likely to be facing custody problems with her exboyfriend Gabriel Aubry over their daughter Nahla. He’s decided he wants equal time with their baby.

HALLE BERRY’S MODERN AMERICAN FAMILY

Is this a picture perfect family or what? Halle Berry pulled the luggage while Gabriel Aubry carried their daughter Nahla through LAX when they arrived from New York. Approximately four years ago (around the time she met Gabriel,) Halle said that she wanted a baby, but she vowed that after two failures, she’d “never marry again.” Let’s see if she sticks to her guns.
