T.I. ASSERTS HIS MASCULINITY FOR WIFE TINY

Here we have rapper T.I. asserting his masculinity on his way to Craig’s with his wife Tiny. It so happens that men are less likely to wear face coverings in public than women because they think it “makes the look weak.” This manly behavior unfortunately proves that TOXIC MASCULINITY KILLS, because men are much more likely to DIE of Covid-19 than women!

DOES THIS MASK MAKE YOU SMILE – OR GIVE YOU THE CREEPS?

Yikes. If we happened to be at the farmers market in Studio City and saw this guy walking in, we would definitely back up. If we saw this man walking toward us on the street while we were walking our dog, we would cross the street. It’s all about the mask. There is something inherently disturbing and creepy about this half smiley facemask. Not sure if the wearer, 6’4” comedian Joel McHale (The Soup) is TRYING to look threatening, or believes he appears friendly…

SACHA BARON COHEN: GASPING FOR AIR

Something that never occurred to us until recently: riding a bike, running, or exercising is VERY difficult to do with a mask on! Even going to the supermarket wearing one of those high power medical masks is painful because they are SO tight and hot and inhibit breathing. We don’t know how people who work in hospitals manage to wear them all day! Sacha Baron Cohen struggled as long as he could and when the coast was clear, pulled his mask down to take a breath while riding in Beverly Hills today. His movie The Trial of the Chicago 7 is still set to come out in October…

COURTENEY COX OR MONICA GELLER?

Courteney Cox looks like she identifies in a big way with her character Monica Geller on Friends. Remember – Monica was known for her obsession with cleanliness and for being a neat freak. Her apartment was always spotless, and she cringed if anyone made a mess. Courtney herself was a bit of a controlling neat freak – she was known to barge in and clean her costars dressing rooms when she thought they needed it! Today Courteney and her assistant shopped for a few things at Whole Foods and Courteney wore a black facemask, glasses, a hat with a plastic shield and plastic gloves! Serious coverage…

EVEN SUPERMAN IS SUFFERING FROM SOCIAL ISOLATION

Back in the good old days we had some fine specimens of Superman, Johnny Depp’s Pirate of the Caribbean, Frankenstein, and many other famous characters hustling on busy Hollywood Boulevard. Tourists paid them lots of money for photos, so everybody went home happy. This sad looking “Superman” is a sign of the times. Neither his physique nor his costume is very impressive – and he’s making a feeble attempt at selling face masks, not photos! (note that customers are few and far between)

VIVIENNE WESTWOOD GIVES FACE MASKS AN EDGE

Like all designers, Vivienne Westwood now has to cater to the rap and hip hop fashion crowd, so she’s presenting some rough streetwear to appeal to them. This outfit from her fall collection is even more appropriate than she expected it to be. The leather studded mask over the gauzy headpiece could easily be Coronavirus protection. Actually we’re not sure if this model is a man or a woman, but we’re guessing male by the size of the feet.

THE INEVITABILITY OF DESIGNER FACE MASKS

Face the facts – society is headed in this direction: face masks will become a necessity if you plan to leave the house, and they might as well look good while they are saving your life. Fendi already had this silk mask on the market for $270 long before the Coronavirus struck, so they are a step ahead. Off-white has a rather plain black mask available for $98. All these manufacturers need to do is update their masks with powerful germ filtering lining material. Fashion Week in Milan ended badly due to the encroaching virus. We can imagine many designers up all night preparing fabulous face masks for Paris Fashion Week…
