CHER AND DAVID GEFFEN HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMON

Cher just re-listed her beachfront Malibu mansion, dropping the price down to $75 million, ($10 million less than when she listed it last year.) According to a real estate insider, there are already TWO prospective clients and one is Cher’s former boyfriend, the now openly gay multi-billionaire David Geffen! Coincidentally, Cher and Geffen both have very young boyfriends. Cher and her boyfriend Alexander Edwards MIGHT be engaged, and according to Roger Friedman (Showbiz 411) David just married his 50 years younger boyfriend, model Donovan Michaels. David hopes to transform Cher’s sprawling mansion into a super luxurious boutique hotel. The other interested party wants to turn the place into a posh inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. Of course both ideas would need to be approved by the various zoning authorities, including the notoriously challenging California Coastal Commission, so hold off on trying to book your hotel room or rehab stay.

Burlesque Cher David Geffen Turner Classic Movies

CHER: FROM BURLESQUE TO TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES

Cher told The New York Times that her good friend David Geffen urged her to do the movie Burlesque so if it’s a flop she has someone to blame, and if it’s a hit she has someone to thank. It’s her first movie in seven years (except for a voice in an animated movie “The Zookeeper”) and she doesn’t have any more planned. After she finishes in Las Vegas in February she’s may have another “farewell” tour, but she’s oddly excited about a TV job. Early next year she will appear on Turner Classic Movies to introduce and discuss her favorite movies!

Here’s a mini-mystery: Lance Bass was seen driving in Beverly Hills toward Mr Chow and about a block away our photographer noticed an older guy get OUT of Lance’s car and WALK toward the restaurant. Lance and the mystery man – who is believed to be billionaire Hollywood mogul David Geffen – arrived separately but sat down TOGETHER at a table inside Mr Chow. They had pleasant dinner together and then left at different times. WHY all the subterfuge? (Was David afraid Keanu Reeves would be jealous? Just JOKING!) Was Geffen inviting Lance to join the Velvet Mafia? Any guesses?
