TOM HANKS IS PERFECTLY CAST AS CAPTAIN SULLY SULLENBERGER

Clint Eastwood loves a hero, (and an occasional heroine) so it makes perfect sense that HE would develop the story of Sully Sullenberger, the courageous airline pilot who saved 155 people with his perfect crash landing on the Hudson River. In 2009, Captain Sullenberger’s flight was interrupted by a flock of geese caught in the engines and after he carefully guided the plane into the water, he made sure every passenger was safely removed. Sully was a national hero and his modesty made him even more appealing. Who could better play that role than nice guy Tom Hanks? Perfect casting. Above, Eastwood and Hanks discuss the next scene they’re filming on location in NYC.

CAPTAIN SULLY IS NOW A MOVIE

Of course. The story of Captain Sullenberger – the nonchalant pilot who miraculously and safely landed a disabled jet on the Hudson River in 2009 and saved all the passengers – is being filmed by Clint Eastwood. (There’s nothing Clint likes better than a hero – or heroine.) And who better to play the modest hero than Tom Hanks! Tom is currently negotiating for the role and we can’t imagine better casting.

SCOTT IS A PINT-SIZED VERSION OF CLINT EASTWOOD

Scott Eastwood, 28, looked like a young version of his father Clint at the Independent Spirit Awards, except – alas — he’s five inches shorter. Height notwithstanding, he’s carving out a career for himself- he’s starring in Nicholas Sparks’ The Longest Ride, coming out in April. Scott is currently filming Oliver Stone’s thriller Snowden with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Shailene Woodley.

“JERSEY BOYS” JUST BECAME ONE OF OUR ALL-TIME FAVORITE MOVIES!

Jersey-Boyscut

Don’t count Clint Eastwood out! And don’t count Jersey Boys out either! We absolutely LOVED this movie! The story is fascinating – it is NOT a musical like the Broadway show, although music is a big part of it. Frankie Valli’s life story is surprisingly convoluted and identifiable. Director Clint made sure that every detail of the wardrobe, set decoration, hairstyles, locations etc are exactly right for the time and place. We always wondered why The Four Seasons had such a hard time getting along and now we know. It’s funny and it’s touching. If you ever loved a Frankie Valli song, give this movie a look! You won’t want it to end.

SCOTT EASTWOOD: SECOND GENERATION COWBOY

Scott Eastwood is following in his father Clint’s hoof prints – he’s playing a cowboy in his first leading movie role. (Clint made a name for himself in spaghetti westerns.) Scott, 28, is a love child that Clint had with flight attendant Jacelyn Reeves. He was cast to star in the movie version of the popular novel The Longest Ride. According to Norm Clarke, Scott is currently in Las Vegas researching the role by observing a professional bull riding event.

“JERSEY BOYS” – COMING SOON THANKS TO CLINT EASTWOOD

We had no idea that Clint Eastwood was directing the movie version of the hit Broadway musical Jersey Boys. We LOVE Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons and Clint was smart to cast John Lloyd Young, the Tony winning Broadway star, as Frankie. Hardly a day goes by without Frankie’s falsetto voice echoing in our house. Take a look at that irresistible trailer.

DINA EASTWOOD IS ADDICTED TO FAME

Her marriage didn’t last and neither did her reality series “Mrs Eastwood and Company,” but Dina Ruiz Eastwood isn’t giving up on having a reality career. Some say her “E” show contributed to the demise of her marriage because Clint never liked the idea. Undaunted, Dina is determined to be famous and she’s working on a NEW reality show about her life as a single cougar. She’s already in talks with cable networks.

DENZEL WASHINGTON DOESN’T PUSH HIS POLITICS ON OTHERS

#denzelwashington #janetcharlton

What a pleasant surprise. Denzel Washington was at a recent Boys and Girls Club of America event in D.C. where he was asked about Clint Eastwood’s empty chair performance at the Republican National Convention. Denzel has no problem with Eastwood. According to Huffington Post, Denzel said “I have the utmost respect for him as an actor and as a director.“ Denzel backed Obama in 2008, but currently he calls himself an independent and said in this election he isn’t committed to either side. “I listen to both sides of the argument and try to make an assessment.” Too bad there aren’t more people in Hollywood like Denzel. More thinking and less arrogance are good things. (Above, Denzel is the GQ cover guy)

CLINT EASTWOOD HAD THAT HAIR BEFORE ROB PATTINSON

#clinteastwood #robpattinson #janetcharlton

Clint Eastwood suffered many rude questions about his age and mental state after he made his “chair” speech at the Republican National Convention. But let’s not forget where he started (on the 1960’s TV series “Rawhide”) and the fact that he was quite a hunk and the Robert Pattinson of that era. Definitely similar hair.
