When is the last time you danced to the 1962 hit “Green Onions” by Booker T and the MG’s? It still makes you wanna dance. How many movie stars do you recognize from the era?

All I care about is Ann!
Wowwww
Oh Patrick, that footage of Ann-Margret would have sent our old friend Walt Cliff over the edge. She was stunning.
with a wheelchair almost everything is possible these day’s.
Good ole Walt. I hope he is okay.
I miss REta very much too, Denise.
I love this even though I was only 2 in 62
Patrick, since you mentioned Reta, I remember something I think she said. She indicated she was going to a specialist about a suspicious thingie on her skin. I believe she was also still suffering from hitting her head and shoulder on the pavement when a semi ran her off the road (or something like that). REta, if you’re reading, please check in with us.
My goodness all the women were REaL, lusty and saxsey? They had flesh on their bones; they were healthy and vibrant. Do we have women like this today in the entertainment industry?
Ann Margaret is by far the sexiest…she knows how to dance.
What fun! Thanks for posting, Janet! 🙂
A few years back Neil Young used these guys as his back up band.
Neil Young backed up by Booker T. Now that would be a show I wouldn’t want to miss.
What a terrific video! I recognized just about everyone—including Romy Schneider dancing with Jack Lemmon in one of my favorite oldies: “Good Neighbor Sam.”
Natalie Wood gets my top vote for the strip dance she’s doing in “Gypsy.”
And speaking of…interested to hear Janet’s take on the news today that the ship’s captain now blames Robert Wagner for Natalie’s untimely death—after 30 years(!!).
I’m old enough to have heard this song the first time around. And I’ve loved it ever since. Great video! thanks.
Great post, Janet….wow, Booker T’s music is STILL rockin’….and I am of the age where I remember ALL of those movies and the stars….but my favorite was always that smokin’ hot redhead ANN MARGARET…
Who was the girl dancing around in the black tights? Was that Ann-Margret? Wow.
