THERE’s plenty to LIKE about this moment on The Golden Globes telecast. First of all, the President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association- Meher Tatna- was introduced, and – hooray- she’s a WOMAN. Meher announced that the HFPA was donating two million dollars in grants to support investigative journalism- good news. What was WRONG was Meher’s bright red outfit. Apparently she didn’t support the women of the Time’s Up movement, who wore black on the red carpet. When questioned later, unconcerned Meher insisted “in her country” you didn’t wear black to a celebration and her mother expected her to wear color. Lame excuse. There are many online photos of Meher at other festive social events WEARING BLACK. Naturally her red outfit made her stand out – it appeared she wanted attention – like several wannabe starlets at the event who pulled the same trick.

it may be different, so dont compare it to the old days. It needs time to fit in………….
Most of the women in black were complicit anyways. Who really cares about these self-important chuckleheads?
This kind of behavior has been rampant in other industries for years and these gasbags never used their celebrity to support women.
Janet this whole movement is a big bunch of BS. All these actresses knew full well what was going on and chose to say nothing to benefit their careers. Where were they ten years ago? Furthermore what was James Franco doing there? He has a history of perving on teens. I’m sorry but this is all nonsense.
This woman has a long history of misdeeds
So the men in Hollywood tell women that they have perform sexually if they want to play the game and the women tell them how they have to dress if they want to be accepted. Sounds like a playground I’d rather pass by. So many of those black dresses meant nothing because of who was wearing them that I have no problem with those who didn’t want to play along.
but there are pics out there of her wearing black to other “celebrations” so that excuse doesn’t wash
