Suri’s daddy Tom Cruise flew his little girl to London for a visit last week in his private jet and when she returned she was wearing a fur coat! Fake fur, but she loves it and hasn’t taken it off since she got back. Suri, 6, has also started wearing more sensible shoes because she covers a lot of territory. She keeps herself very busy with school and running to and from tennis, ballet, and Mandarin classes.

Back when Katie Holmes surprised her husband Tom Cruise by filing for divorce, WE told you WHY. Their daughter Suri was about to start school, and Katie wanted her to have a normal education, and NOT go to a Scientology school. Scientologists, like other cults, don’t believe in education – students memorize L Ron Hubbard’s declarations and not much else. Tom denied it early on, but he admitted it was true in his deposition for his lawsuit against In Touch and Life & Style magazines. He disclosed that Katie divorced him to protect her daughter from Scientology and that Suri is not longer a Scientologist. We were right.

At first we wondered WHY Tom Cruise filed a 50 million dollar defamation lawsuit against Bauer Publishing magazines In Touch and Life & Style for implying he was neglecting his daughter Suri. Much worse things had been written about him in tabloids (especially during his divorce from Katie) so why was he so offended by these silly stories? We think his Scientology buddies (who LOVE lawsuits) urged Tom to do this. They can’t do enough for their top celebrity member and they also have a bone to pick with the German company Bauer. As you may know, most Germans consider Scientology to be a cult and a threat to democracy. Tom Cruise’s blustering lawyer accused Bauer of having a “history of bigotry and hatred toward minority religious groups.” Looks like there are some politics involved here…
Some odd things were going on in Cleveland, Ohio, while Katie Holmes was filming there. Photographers trailed her on various outdoor locations and at one point a bodyguard of Katie’s approached the guys asked the paparazzi if they were Scientologists. It looks like Kate suspects she’s being spied upon for some reason. Is Tom gathering information about her activities? Days later it was revealed that Suri, who was in Cleveland with her mom, broke her arm, but there were no details provided. Is Tom trying to get more custody time with Suri?

Katie Holmes and Suri are both in Ohio where she’s filming “Miss Meadows.” Katie has a lot of family members living in Ohio where she was born, so she and Suri are spending time with them before school starts. In the photo above, Katie’s character is driving one of our all-time favorite cars – the Nash Metropolitan. They were sold in the US from the late 50’s to early 60’s and this was the first car aimed at women buyers. Motor Trend called it one of “The greatest cars of all time.” Certainly one of the cutest.

Katie Holmes is having fun in New York filming “Mania Days” with Luke Kirby, but the shooting days are long and she can’t be with Suri much of the time. Suri’s father Tom Cruise sneakily suggested that as long as Katie is so busy, why not send Suri to summer camp for a few weeks? And what he MEANS is Scientology Camp! It’s a place where kids are brainwashed and spend more time memorizing L Ron Hubbard’s philosophies than playing sports. Katie will have to squirm out of this one gracefully…
AHA! We were just WAITING for Katie Holmes to deny the story that Suri Cruise is launching her own multi-million dollar clothing line. Even though the news was printed in several UK newspapers and most gossip bloggers swallowed it hook, line, and sinker, we never believed it for a MINUTE. First of all, Suri is seven years old, for heavens sake. What seven year old has ever had a fashion collection? Most important, Suri’s mother Katie Holmes wants her daughter to have as normal a life as possible and enjoy her childhood. She’s nothing like Kris Jenner and doesn’t want to make money off her child. And we doubt if Tom Cruise would have approved – unless the clothing company was owned by Scientologists.

Katie Holmes and Suri spend Saturday afternoon at i-Plaza Nail & Spa in New York. Suri is becoming a regular at her mom’s beauty establishments. Suri is wearing her favorite color- pink- from head to toe. Even her socks are pink polkadot. She just turned seven on April 18. Could this be how Angelyne started out?

Suri does not look at all happy as her mother Katie Holmes walks her home after her tennis class. She’s carrying her racket along with her stuffed elephant. Losing is never fun, but it doesn’t happen often for Suri. Just last week her father Tom Cruise sent his private jet to pick her up and take her to the UK where he is filming “All You Need Is Kill” and Tom spent a few days spoiling her.
Tom Cruise has endured endless tabloid stories criticizing his “religion” and Scientology’s peculiar practices. On the internet, he’s been teased about his short stature and endured gay rumors which were not true. He’s a well-behaved guy and probably the ONLY negative slanting stories that have been written about Cruise, involve Scientology. But ONE story drove Tom absolutely crazy. Life & Style magazine accused him of abandoning and neglecting his daughter Suri! With all the photos of Tom taking Suri to amusement parks and beaches and buying her expensive toys, we would have thought that if anything, he spoiled and OVER indulged Suri. No one paid a lot of attention except Tom who filed a fifty million dollar lawsuit. Now the magazine is hunting for inside information about Tom and Suri to back up their story, and Tom’s lawyer is trying to find out who the magazine’s sources are. Of course, the whole thing will probably end with an apology and a settlement.
