RYAN O’NEAL: “IT’S OPRAH’S FAULT THAT TATUM AND I DON’T SPEAK!”

How funny is it that Ryan “pass the buck” O’Neal blames Oprah for widening the rift in his family. Ryan, 70, and his estranged daughter Tatum, 47, filmed eight episodes of their reality show all about their attempts to reconcile after ten years of estrangement for the Oprah Winfrey Network. We have to give Tatum a lot of credit for even attempting to get along with her impossible father. The series featured therapy sessions including father and daughter but after it wrapped they were no longer speaking at all. Ryan blames not his own history as a monstrous father, but Oprah’s prying series. We think Tatum is better off without him.

BILLY CRYSTAL REALLY WANTS TO HOST THE OSCARS

Billy Crystal, pictured above leaving Spago, still hasn’t given up on the idea of hosting the Oscars again this year. After last year’s Anne Hathaway-James Franco disaster, many people campaigned to have Billy return. Since then, Oprah has been under consideration, and recently Eddie Murphy surfaced as a strong possibility. Billy seems to WANT the job more than anyone else, and he never disappoints.
UPDATE: As you now know, Eddie Murphy landed the job. Maybe next year, Billy.

Bunions Feet Louboutin Oprah Shoes!

OPRAH’S FEET ARE REBELLING AGAINST LOUBOUTINS

Billionaire Oprah Winfrey has always lamented the fact that she’s usually too big to fit into designer clothes. However she was always able to indulge in the world’s sexiest and most glamorous shoes. Her red soled Louboutins became her trademark on her TV show. But sadly, over the years her bunions became more painful and swollen, and she had to wear flat comfy shoes off camera and just slip on the fancy ones for the show. Wearing expensive stilettos and platforms for big events makes Oprah miserable and she can’t wait to take her gorgeous shoes off. It’s ironic that she can afford any exquisite designer shoes, but her feet are only happy in Uggs.

Oprah Oscars OWN

OPRAH MIGHT HOST THE OSCARS- IF SHE GETS WHAT SHE WANTS!

Oprah has hatched a plan to host the Oscars and she’s deep in negotiations with the Academy. She figures it would be a great way to drum up viewership for her struggling OWN network if she could have special backstage access for her cameras to capture her Oscar experience. She’d like to film preparations and rehearsals and have behind the scenes footage before and after the show exclusively for OWN. ABC is reluctant, but if Oprah doesn’t get what she wants, it’s likely she won’t host.

ARETHA FRANKLIN IS STILL GROPING FOR A LOOK

A friend sent this photo of Aretha Franklin appearing on Oprah’s show and we confess we winced. We love Aretha, but just because she lost a ton of weight doesn’t mean she looks good in EVERYTHING! Her stylist should be fired for letting her go onstage in this shapeless white dress that accentuates all the wrong things. Sleeves would be a welcome addition. But her hair and make up look great.

OPRAH IS SURRENDERING HER DAYTIME TV CROWN TO JUDGE JUDY

Katie Couric might be contemplating taking Oprah’s number one daytime spot, but that coveted place has already been filled! By Judge Judy! According to Deadline Hollywood, in the 2009 – 2010 season Judy finished as the number one daytime program with an average of ten million viewers – and actually surpassed Oprah. Judge Judy has been a hit for fifteen years and she’s doing better than ever. CBS just signed up Judy Sheindlin, 68, through 2015 and – sorry Katie- SHE is set to become the new queen of daytime TV.

OPRAH’S MOST TREASURED POSSESSION?

Oprah was asked by a viewer what her “most prized possession” is. In other words, what object would she grab in an emergency like a fire. Oprah said that at one time it would have been pieces of her art collection. But she recently received a gift from a friend – a book of photos of her five dogs. Her friend sent a professional photographer to Oprah’s house and he spent a whole day taking pictures of her dogs. The photos were made into a book that Oprah says is now her greatest treasure and most prized possession. THAT’S how much she loves her dogs! (Above, Oprah was photographed with shelter dogs and adopted the cocker spaniel on her right shoulder)

Cancelled Crimes and Misdemeanors Dogs Michael Vick Oprah

WHY MICHAEL VICK CANCELLED OPRAH

Some crimes simply cannot be forgiven and forgotten. 21 months in prison doesn’t seem like nearly enough punishment for Michael Vick’s inhumanly torturous dog fighting crimes. Naturally the NFL star would like to rebuild his monstrous reputation so he agreed to an interview with Oprah. Days later he backed out and THE REAL REASON IS that the people who adopted his mangled dogs (the ones that survived) demanded equal time with the animals. That would certainly have made Vick look like the bloodthirsty fiend he undoubtedly still is.

OPRAH HAS AMBITIOUS PLANS FOR THE FINAL SHOW OF HER SERIES

Oprah has some ambitious and rather fascinating plans for her LAST SHOW. She wants to end the same way she started – with the SAME AUDIENCE members and the SAME guests that she had 25 years ago! She has staffers scrutinizing the tapes from that first show to locate as many people from the original audience as possible. The subject of the first show was “Looking for Love” and Oprah hopes to have the same panel of ordinary people with their love stories twenty-five years later. She feels the Oprah show will then have come full circle.

JENNY MCCARTHY IS SMARTER THAN SHE LOOKS

Jenny McCarthy’s appearance on Oprah talking about her breakup with Jim Carrey inspired a source to call and tell us the OTHER side of the story. This Playboy source revealed that Jenny, who seems so sweet, actually STALKED Jim Carrey some years ago when he started going to the Playboy mansion. When Jenny first met Jim, she kept her son a secret so she wouldn’t scare him off. Jenny was smart and Jim was very good to her. Oprah avoids anything related to Playboy, but she likes Jim and when he introduced her to Jenny and the talk show idea came up, Oprah was open minded. It seems to be common knowledge among Jenny’s Playboy friends that she walked away from her romance with Jim Carrey with five million dollars, a Beverly Hills house, and a talk show backed by Oprah. Not a bad haul.
