AMBER HEARD PLEADS GUILTY TO DOG SMUGGLING

It turned out to be a bigger deal than we realized when Amber Heard brought their two Yorkies, Pistol and Boo, along on a visit to Johnny Depp , while he was filming in Australia. Amber arrived on a private plane and no one was aware that the dogs were with her until the pups were brought to a salon for grooming. Their beauty visit got a lot of publicity and that’s how Amber got in trouble for smuggling them into the country and breaking quarantine laws. Amber and Johnny had to fly back this week and appear in court today where she pleaded guilty. Her sentence remains to be seen, but the famous pair looked quite confident.

JULIETTE LEWIS DOESN’T WANT YOU TO SEE HER FACE

Juliette Lewis likes to walk her dog Teddy while wearing as little as possible. She was soaking up the California sun when she became aware of a paparazzi and pulled her t- shirt over her face, making the pic even more interesting. It’s apparent that touring with her rock band agrees with her – she’s 42 and still has a teenage body. It was just announced at the Berlin Film Festival that Juliette will star in a British heist comedy called “Croak” written and directed by David Thewliss.

STEVEN TYLER KNOWS WHO HIS BEST FRIENDS ARE

While his fellow rock stars are, sadly, dropping like flies, Steven Tyler is still livin’ the life. He arrived with a flourish at LAX for a flight to Nashville with his two best friends – his adorable dogs. He doesn’t go anywhere without them. The cuteness of the pups (who DO resemble him slightly) almost makes up for Tyler’s questionable fashion choices. Socks with sandals – in the winter? He’s also wearing a black leather coat lined with some kind of fur, and two shoulder bags. At least there’s no baseball cap.

Jennifer Aniston was lucky to find a guy as crazy about dogs as she is. Before they got married she and Justin Theroux adopted Sophie, the black and white pit bull mix above. Jennifer has a white German Shepherd mix of her own, and it looks like that little terrier he’s walking in New York might be his. Fortunately, all the dogs get along and of course, they were invited to the wedding.

We had no idea that Simon Cowell was SO totally in love with his dogs. It seems he has been researching dog cloning in Korea and is considering having his adorable Yorkies cloned so they can live forever. We wouldn’t have been surprised to hear that Simon wanted HIMSELF cloned, but it’s rather touching to learn that the bombastic Brit treasures his pets to that extent. In the photo above, his Yorkies tormented a paparazzo on the beach in Miami.

Amal Clooney proves that she know how to dress down like “one of the girls” when she’s not working, and paid a visit to George on the Wall Street set of his movie “Money Monster.” George plays an unctuous financial advisor on TV taken hostage by a young man who took his advice and lost all his money. Surprisingly, it’s not a comedy, it’s a dramatic thriller. Amal brought their cute dogs along for the visit.

Jessica Chastain is in Paris and that means her adorable three-legged rescue dog Chaplain is there too. She doesn’t go anywhere without him. Jessica adopted Chaplain after he was hit by a car and she says he has no trouble hopping around. Jessica is starring in “A Most Violent Year” and she says that Chaplain is “The love of my life!” Presumably that means she doesn’t have a boyfriend right now because if she does, he might be irked.

WESTMINSTER BEST IN SHOW: MISS P GREETS HER FANS

The New York paparazzi turned out in droves for THIS celebrity: she’s the winner of Best in Show at the Westminster Kennel Club dog show. “Miss P” is the second Beagle to win this honor and she loved her photo op at the Empire State Building, above. After that she went to a local restaurant for a steak lunch. We never miss this dog show on TV and always hope that the breeds we have – Bedlington Terrier and Wire Fox Terrier- will win. Last year the Wire Fox DID win! It IS like the Super Bowl for dog lovers.

HUGH JACKMAN HAS A WEAKNESS FOR DOGS

Hugh Jackman has no qualms about carrying his adorable dog Allegra on his way to work. He and Allegra left his West Village apartment on his way to Broadway where Hugh is performing in a creepy sounding play, “The River.” It’s about a guy who brings a woman to his remote cabin so they can fish and “get to know each other.” (Hugh actually cleans and prepares a fish for cooking onstage every night.) The script features lots of surprises. Allegra keeps him company in his dressing room before and after.
