Angelina Jolie looks quite voluptuous at the Maleficent premier in LA and she’s dressed a lot like her character. Brad Pitt is equally well groomed and without even trying, they retain their position as the most glamorous and powerful couple in Hollywood.

There’s something about Brad Pitt – he looks better than he has in AGES. Brad and Angelina both wore black to a costume display in London for Angelina’s movie “Maleficent.” They were missing from the Met Gala this year and we hear it’s because Angelina thinks the whole event is silly and a waste of time and money. Privately she considers it “a fashion contest” and celebrities prance around in extravagantly expensive clothing hoping to be photographed – while people around the world are starving. Angelina prefers to be more sensible.

Yup, it’s the whole Jolie-Pitt family arriving at LAX yesterday from Australia. Brad is leading the way. Angelina and the kids spent a few months down under enjoying the hot weather while she filmed a movie. 12 year old Maddox is so tall – he’s wearing shades and white earbuds in the back. Pax is carrying a large purple teddy bear. Somebody could do a coffee table book of this family’s growth just with airport photos.

Brad Pitt looks pretty cute in his short haircut at the Producers Guild Awards. In case you forgot, he was one of the producers of “12 Years a Slave” besides having a small role in the movie, and “Slave” tied for Best Picture with Gravity. His hipster haircut is for a WWII role in “Fury” which he’s currently filming in England.

Tom Cruise has agreed to play car designer Carroll Shelby in the racing movie “Go Like Hell” – it’s the story of the competition between the Ford Motor Company and Italian sports car designer Enzo Ferrari which peaked at the 1966 Le Mans race. Brad expressed interest in the project before Tom signed on. Brad’s last acting experience with Tom was in 1994 when they costarred in Anne Rice’s “Interview With The Vampire” (photo above) and Brad described it as a “miserable experience” but not necessarily because of Tom. Brad was quoted at the time as saying he and Tom were “like North pole and South pole” (opposites) and that Tom was “always coming at you with a handshake.” We remember writing that Tom requested a box to stand on so he’d look as tall as Brad in their scenes together. Pairing them up again after all these years could be QUITE interesting…
Now for some breaking news- Brad Pitt rocked a new look this weekend and he looks cleaner than he has in ages. Not only is his hair shaved down on the sides but the top is slicked back for this red carpet Governor’s Awards event. But perhaps best of all is the fact that his face is clean-shaven. Super-sexy. Our favorite guerilla artist Banksy has arrived in New York City and launched the start of a large street show. He seems to be doing one painting a day and New Yorkers are taking delight in finding them. His first one of two mischievous boys on a wall in Chinatown was already painted over! The second was the ACCENT wall and the latest is the dog peeing on a fire hydrant. There is a phone number stenciled next to each painting and callers can hear all about the piece. Banksy did this in LA in 2011, and it culminated with a huge party. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have spent millions on Banksy’s art and even commissioned a mural.
No surprise that Brad Pitt was once high on the list of “most wanted” recruits for Scientology. Back in the early 90’s he was dating Juliette Lewis, who was born into a Scientology family. Since all Scienos are expected to haul their loved ones into the cult, Juliette persuaded Brad to take a few courses. Brad, being the dutiful boyfriend, did dabble for awhile, but when he caught Juliette cheating and they split up, he quickly dropped out. Bono was also targeted by the cult. The socially responsible singer has a lot of influence on his fans around the world. Fortunately, he was turned off by auditing and drifted. David Miscavige’s niece Jenna who left the church, says celebrities are sought for their influence and ability to attract new members, not their money.
Charlie Hunnam, who plays Jax on “Sons of Anarchy,” arrived at Comic Con somewhat resembling a young Brad Pitt. And that’s not bad…Coincidentally, the UK born actor is also a writer and recently sold a screenplay called “Vlad” that Brad’s Plan B company is producing. It’s the story of a Romanian hero and Charlie would ideally choose Colin Farrell to star, while he swears it has nothing to do with vampires.
