Charmed star and former Marilyn Manson consort, Rose McGowan knows how to get attention. She nonchalantly walked around Paris shopping with a friend, and all heads turned in her direction because she was wearing a formfitting nude colored top. Indie actress Rose has two depressing movies in the works: The Bell Jar, and The Tell-Tale Heart.
Yuck
Her face is another example of too many procedures. Looks like it is melting. Didn’t she also go with that director Robert Rodrigez?
this outfit must give you the idea of dealing with horny americans.
serious?: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
I LOVE ROSE! At least she dated MM when he was still considered ‘rock n roll’. Unlike Dita who got sloppy 10ths.
Rose doesn’t sell her body like Dita either. Rose can act and kick butt! I cannot wait to see Rose on the Big Screen again 😀
She stole those pants out of my garage–boxed-up “what was I thinking?” outfits from the 80s.
Any cosmetic procedures she had were, as I understand it, as a result of a car accident that she was in where her face was damaged.
I always thought she was talented and quite pretty but I could never understand her attraction to Marilyn Manson. Can’t say much for her fashion sense as that outfit should be shredded and burned.
@missyco, yes, she was with Rodriguez. I think I had read that they were living together. Possibly while he was still married to the mother of his many children.
I actually like McGowan’s acting most of the time, but I felt bad when she screwed up her face (in interviews, she has claimed that she had no plastic surgery and that the work on her face was necessary from a car accident — but having gotten a look at the ways it is different, I’m not buyin’ it! It “just happens” to be different in the way that Hollywood actresses are always screwing up their faces and think looks good)
She was raised in a crazy cult the name of which I have forgotten (they were the ones that did “flirty fishing” — the cult’s actual term — to use apparently attractive women to go bring back men for the cult. They had actual handwritten handbooks describing some of these practices)
They had some screwy beliefs under excuse of which the adults would repeatedly molest the children (some of the kids who were raised there survived [although several have committed suicide] and are incredibly courageous and talked about some of what they went through and how they have tried to learn how to live full lives after leaving the cult.
I think the cult called themselves “Children of God” and it sounds crazy but all this has been documented by witnesses and in journals and pictures and even some videotapes. I have seen at least one documentary on it, wish I remembered better details.
McGowan used to mention the cult on occasion in interviews but was never explicit about what was done to her there (I heard others from the same cult talk about what was done to them in the documentary I saw about the cult and about the son of one of the founders. The kid tried to escape when he was older, maybe 20s?; and I think a year or two later? killed himself. It was so sad)
McGowan’s first movie was Doom Generation and I know when I saw it I thought she was really good at playing depraved; and then when I heard she was with Manson (after I read his very scary autobiography) I wondered if she may have matched Manson in some of his depravity. Although I think I recall her saying that people would be disappointed in their relationship because it was actually very “normal”
Sorry for rambling; I have been fascinated by Rose McGowan ever since I checked out a VHS of Doom Generation on a whim, and have tried to somewhat keep up with her career and interviews ever since.
