Frankly, we were really worried when Laverne & Shirley star Penny Marshall fell ill back in 2009. She says she was diagnosed with lung cancer and a brain tumor and it didn’t sound good. But now she says she’s recovered and she’s back in action. She and Cindy Williams reunited for the first scripted TV show they’ve done together in 30 years: It’s Nickelodeon’s “Sam & Cat” – coincidentally about two girl roommates with opposite personalities starring Jeanette McCurdy and Ariana Grande. The reunion show is scheduled for this fall. (Cindy and Penny look great in the photo above from the set).

I remember reading how Penny and Cindy were jealous of each other on Laverne and Shirley. People working together always think one is favored over the other. Now – they’re older and wiser, realizing how immature and stupid it is to “not get along”.
