Speaking of beauty preparations for the Golden Globes, we just fell in love with this photo of the female members of the Danish psychobilly band the Horrorpops in the “beauty shop from hell.” We heard they’re on a tour of Canada and the US and this picture alone is enough to make us want to see them.
Desperate to keep themselves in the public eye, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton turned up together n the company of Scott Storch at Xenii over the weekend and made a big attention seeking scene. Instead of fake-feuding, this time they were all OVER each other – cuddling kissing, hugging and they SURE seemed to be drinking a lot. The more people noticed, the more they playfully fondled each other. What IS it with these girls? Do they really measure their happiness by the number of photographers who follow them around, and whether they make the six o’clock news? We think they spend WAY too much time trying to fool the public. Get a job, girls.

We’re going out on a limb here, but, after much consideration, we’ve decided that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are among the best dressed women in Hollywood. To be honest, we’ve admired the girls’ very opposite and spontaneous style for a long time and we’re tired of people dismissing them as “bag ladies.” We took a long hard look at the sisters at the HBO party at the Chateau Marmont and realized they have an acute sense of style and drama, and might be the coolest young women in Hollywood. They don’t have that safe, cookie cutter look that actresses dressed by stylists have. They take chances – they mix vintage with Paris couture, along with creative accessories. It’s obvious they pick out their own clothes and don’t just wear whatever is given to them FREE. And they’re not afraid to thrown on a little fur now and then! We love these girls who have the courage to look “different!”
We LOVE the difference between back and front when it came to Angelina Jolie at the Globes. She looked like an angel face to face – as elegant as Audrey Hepburn in her prime. (Certainly one of the best dressed of the event. ) But when Angie turned around, she looked like she just hopped off he conveyor belt in the checkout line at Ralph‘s market….
Behold Beyonce’ – the woman that Life & Style magazine recently proclaimed Stylemaker of the Year. We think the magazine has a LOT to learn about style, and so does Beyonce. We love her, but we sure don’t aspire to dress like her.
Whitney Houston is in LOVE! She has flipped for a way YOUNGER man – Brandy’s brother, actor/singer Ray J, who’s only 26, and they are living together. He has a hit song “My Wish” from his album “Raydiation.”
Whitney,43, met Ray a week after Thanksgiving and they’ve been together ever since. She spent the holidays with Brandy Norwood and her family and Brandy’s mom formed a special friendship with Whitney. The family is a good influence – Whitney is 100% sober.
Since they started seeing each other Ray has spiffed up his look- he stopped wearing baggy hip hop clothes and started dressing in tailored suits “like a businessman. He looks OLDER! Whitney spends all her time at Ray’s house or Brandy’s in Calabasas (the family has kind of adopted her.) Ray and Whitney are very cuddly and affectionate – they don’t go out in public much – sometimes they drive up to Santa Barbara and stay at the Bacara spa there. Ray is very excited about helping Whitney with her new comeback album. She’s paying more attention to Ray than she is Clive Davis and Clive is losing his influence.
Whitney is described as a “whole new person.” She’s happy and optimistic. Keep in mind that people struggling with sobriety are advised NOT to jump into new relationships for at least a year so this might be risky for vulnerable Whitney. But the Norwoods are helping her through hard times.
THIS JUST IN: An eyewitness says that Whitney appeared to be drinking what looked like liquor in the restaurant. We’ll keep an eye on this.

Some funny business going on with Hilary Swank and Chad Lowe – or at least a close call.Here’s the deal: Our spies tell us Hilary had made reservations and was scheduled to arrive Sunday night on a flight from New York. But when the plane landed – her exhusband Chad Lowe got off, but NO Hilary! We’re trying to figure out if Chad is trying to get back together with his ex so he arranged to take the same flight – and then she backed out , or what. It’s an awfully big coincidence that they would be on the same plane by sheer accident. Chad must have cleaned his stuff out of their New York apartment – he had lots of luggage. We’re NOT crazy about his outfit.

Just as we predicted, here comes Kiefer Sutherland arriving at LAX Sunday night, tan and with high hopes of collecting a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a drama series. Kiefer ran right outside to have a smoke before he gathered his luggage to go home. We were surprised to learn that the star of the hit series 24 is considered a super nice guy by photographers and fans. “He’s always polite and friendly and he autographs everything.” No obscene gestures or threats. Now we hope he wins.
It’s award show season and the tanning salons are booked solid. Skin color and gowns MUST be coordinated! Fake tans are lifesaver for pasty-faced actors who used to have to wear pancake makeup on the red carpet and they felt really foolish. Of course feeling foolish is better than taking a bad photograph. But not all celebrities frequent the fancy Beverly Hills salons like Paris Hilton. Bronzed Australian journalist Nelson Aspen gets his color at an inconspicuous no-frills strip mall salon and he always runs into celebrities in the waiting room. No surprise that Carmen Electra gets her golden glow there, but we WERE surprised to hear that Jon Lovitz and Kiefer Sutherland are regulars too. Jon thinks a tan makes him look thinner, but who would have guessed Canadian Kiefer had a touch of male vanity?
Wilmer Valderrama’s large and tempermental bodyguard is getting his boss in trouble. Last week the goon sent a clubgoer outside Area to the hospital. The powerful Samoan has a short temper when it comes to Wilmer – he goes almost everywhere with him and seems to live in his house. This guy used to be a security guard for promoter Brent Bolthouse and apparently Wilmer liked his style. A few months ago the guard beat up an employee of another club and Wilmer had to fork over $10,000 to pay the injured guy off. Why Wilmer even NEEDS a bodyguard is still a mystery.
