We had a source at Cirque de Soleil’s Zumanity show in Las Vegas who told us all about Britney Spears’ visit last weekend. It’s the THIRD time Britney has seen the erotic show and this time she brought a party of eight including her boyfriend Isaac Cohen.They had a whole row to themselves. The source said that Britney looked “spent” from too much partying. But the most revealing info was the fact that Brit’s friends ONLY laugh when SHE does. Whatever Britney did – they mimicked her – if she stood up and clapped- they did the same – if she sat quietly, so did they. With that kind of entourage- no WONDER no one gives her good advice! For the third time, Britney did NOT go backstage and the cast was disappointed.

TV Doc's Secrets

This TV doc has female hearts aflutter and looks like the ideal man in real life. He’s happily married now, but he was a whole different person before he found success as an actor. While struggling early in his career he was heavy into drugs. So heavy that he slept with his MALE drug buddies. They were good-looking wannabe actors also. Around 2000 our guy cleaned up his act and went to AA. From then on everything started to happen for him and he didn’t look back. But sometimes he thinks about what those druggies know about him and he hopes they never need money bad enough to blab.

Above you have a still-famous member of a notorious U.K. punk band that RULED in the 70’s. Now he’s famous for something else. Here he’s lounging by the pool at 999 North Doheny Drive in his new Speedo – trying to get rid of tan lines. Surprised to see no tattoos?

Okay, maybe you guessed that the wet Brit is Steve Jones of the Sex pistols. Now he’s a famous DJ on Jonesy’s Jukebox at Indie 103.1. This is a recent picture of Jonesy with 70’s rock photographer Brad Elterman who took the original shot years ago. We both lived at 999 Doheny in those days – Brad invited Steve over for a photo shoot in the pool. Back then, Steve was delighted to be invited to swim in a pool. Brad says Steve was “really sweet with a cockney accent.” Brad is having a retrospective of some of his rockin’ photos this week in Beverly Hills sponsored by Next Models Management.

LANCE AND REICHEN FOOLED US AGAIN

Just in case you were wondering….Lance Bass and his boyfriend Reichen Lehmkuhl are still a couple to be reckoned with. Rumors of another split spread in Sundance when Lance appeared alone, but Reichen joined him in public over the weekend. They were seen at the Motorola party Saturday night and last night they attended a screening of the much talked about gay themed movie Save Me that stars and was produced by Lance’s pals Chad Allen and Robert Gant from Queer as Folk. Leichen reportedly had his arm around Lance through the whole movie.

KATHARINE MC PHEE: GIRL'S BEST FRIEND

Katharine McPhee parked on the street so she wouldn’t have to pay for valet parking, and she left her little dog in the car while she went to lunch at Orso last week. The little pooch slept in his carrying case while she was gone. Fortunately, it was a cool day , but we don’t think this is a good idea. Bad things can happen when dogs are left alone in cars. The little guy was SO happy to see Katharine when she came back.

We can’t pass up another opportunity to gossip about Mary Kate and Ashley’s original fashion sense. We LOVE it! And we’re proud of Mary-Kate for carrying the same vintage style beaded bag (A nice change from overpriced and obvious “look how rich I am” designer bags) and she uses it appropriately for day and night! An look at those cute shoes with her plaid wrap dress! We don’t care what anyone says, girls, you ROCK!

Did we catch Mary-Kate Olsen slipping into the museum? Her surroundings DO look somewhat museum-like. Lots of cement and sculptures. Actually she’s walking into the exclusive shop Maxfield in this picture. We think Mary-Kate was inspired by one part Helmut Newton and one part punk when she put on this outfit. (Which is not a bad thing.) The extreme shoes remind one of Newton and the big fat run in her tights is punk. And there’s that handbag we love!

There was no sign of Jessica’s sometime boyfriend John Mayer when Jessica Simpson and her sister Ashlee arrived arm in arm at Le Deux last week. Interesting how Ashlee is morphing into her sister – they’re wearing the same lipcolor, but Ashlee is TANNER and has LONGER EXTENSIONS than Jessica….

JOE STRUMMER: THE FUTURE IS UNWRITTEN

If we were at Sundance, we would have been first in line to see the Julien Temple documentary Joe Strummer: The Future is Unwritten. Joe, the heart and soul and lead singer of The Clash, died too young in 2002 from a congenital heart defect. Temple is becoming a spokesperson for the punk generation – he also produced the Sex Pistols’ documentary The Filth and the Fury. The Strummer film is described as rare footage of the punk legend’s early life, plus clips of the band. At one point, Julian Temple even compares Joe to Winston Churchill. In later years, the politically conscious Strummer was a friend and mentor to Courtney Love, who worshipped him. We wonder if she was at the Sundance screening.

GWEN STEFANI: OOH LA LA!

Gwen Stefani wowed ’em at the NRJ music awards in Cannes this weekend. She dropped the tinted aviator glasses and blonde pageboy persona (NOT our favorite) for a new “Hollywood starlet” look. WAY more mainstream (at least in this town) than we’re used to seeing her, but she does look delicious.
