GORAN VISNJIC: SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE

gorancutjpgER doc Goran Visnjic and his wife Ivana’s dreams are coming true. The couple has been together for ten years and they’ve been trying to have a baby. They adopted a dog and were so crazy about it they adopt three more – now they have a houseful of dogs and cats. Eventually they decided to adopt a baby and opted for a private adoption through a lawyer. We hear the baby – it’s a boy!- is due any minute now and scheduled be born at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles. The Croation born actor and his wife have already have a nursery decorated in their new Hollywood Hills home. No one’s talking, but we have a feeling the nursery is aready occupied.

TIM GUNN HASN'T FORGOTTEN ANDRAE AND NICK

timgunn.JPGEvansWard/jpistudios.comIt’s a Project Runway reunion at Tim Gunn’s booksigning at FIDM (The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) in LA, which drew a looooong line of people. The book is called “Tim Gunn: A Guide to Quality, Taste and Style.” Tim welcomed two of his favorite Runway contestants, Andrae Gonzalo and Nick Verreos. (One of Tim’s most memorable lines on the show was “Where’s Andrae?” ) Anyway, Andrae has been teaching at FIDM and he is reportedly VERY popular with the students. Nick is now the official spokesperson for FIDM and he has been doing lots of pageant gowns for Miss USA and Miss Universe. Plus Nick filmed an episode of A Simple Life with Paris and Nicole, and a new CW reality show called Crowned. All these Runway fashion people are so busy and popular, but Bravo does NOT allow them to use the name Project Runway to promote themselves in any way! WE can mention it, but they can’t. It’s in the contracts.

WHITNEY HOUSTON IS STILL WEARING THOSE GOOFY HATS

Whitney Houston’s on and off relationship with Ray J is on for now. Around a month ago when Ray’s sex video was all over the web, Whitney started getting calls from friends expressing their disapproval. Whitney knew about the video but didn’t realize how many OTHER people knew. Even Dionne Warwick called Whitney to express her disgust. Whitney, already entangled in divorce details, decided to break it off with Ray and sent him packing. Gradually they started talking on the phone again and that led to a reunion last night. They met for dinner at their favorite spot, Crustacean in Beverly Hills, and spent three hours over a romantic meal. (Why does Whitney dress better when she’s with Clive Davis? These hats are annoying.) Afterward, they met up in a gas station and Whitney jumped in Ray’s car and her bodyguard took her car home. Whitney wants a break from recording, so she and Ray are talking about taking an island vacation together.

STALLONE BEAUTY SECRET

stallonescutntitledSylvester Stallone isn’t too worried about the drug charges against him in Australia. He was detained when 46 bottles of human growth hormone were found in his luggage that were undeclared. These are considered to be performance enhancing drugs like steroids in Australia. The worst that could happen is that Stallone would have to pay $96,000. The interesting part of the story is: what was he doing with these drugs? It seems Stallone’s mom Jackie encouraged Sly to start taking GHB twenty years ago to keep him young. Originally the meds were used to make short children grow taller. We don’t know if Sly got taller, but the drugs are also described as “feel-good” drugs or “the fountain of youth.” They became very popular in the 80’s with wealthy people who wanted to retain their vigor and youthful appearance. The pricey drugs are supposed to build muscle and keep weight down, increase skin elasticity and boost energy. Sounds good, but doctors clash on whether the drugs are safe, so their legality varies. We’re told that people who take them are afraid to stop because they might suddenly get fat, lose muscle tone and energy, and have aging sagging skin – all leading to depression! So the jury is still out on these drugs, but Sly seems to believe in them!

XZIBIT: ALL FLASH NO CASH

xzibitcutWe love it when our stories have far reaching implications. Awhile back we wrote about Xzibit from Pimp My Ride, who brought a group of friends to Arnie Mortons Steak House in Burbank and left a miserly tip: $100 on a $1700 tab. And get this – he was flaunting a diamond watch worth half a million dollars. Apparently Xzibit was VERY upset when he got wind of our story because he marched into the Beverly Hills Arnie Morton’s restaurant in a rage and announced that he would NEVER go back to the Burbank Mortons because someone leaked the cheapskate story. He insisted he left a small tip because he got “bad service.” We have a feeling the Burbank waiters aren’t weeping crocodile tears.

BARBRA STREISAND HASN'T LOST HER LUST FOR SHOPPING

barbracutem_002.jpgBarbra Streisand turned up at the opening party for the Los Angeles Antiques Show Wednesday night at Barker Hangar and she spent all of her time shopping, with little time for schmoozing. She was with a red haired female companion (James Brolin got off the hook for this event) and Barbra looked slim and fabulous – at least 20 yars younger than her age. She wore black riding boots with leggings tucked in, with a black wrap and tie sweater, glasses, and she let her hair kind of cover her face. As long as she whispered, few people recognized her. Those that did were reverential and didn’t bother her and we loved watching her shop. She enthusiastically photographed some primitive art pieces that cost $1800, tried on some vintage jewelry, and ended up buying a petite late 1800’s end table (worth around $10,000) that HER FEMALE FRIEND carried out for her. Imagine that. The place was loaded with admiring gay men who were just aching to carry that table for her.

RUMER WILLIS: GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN

We have officially been sucked into documenting the private life of 18 year old Rumer Willis. Actually, we’re starting to like her – she grew on us like the Olsen twins. She seems like a well brought up girl who wants to be “bad.” We think she’s smart enough not to go TOO far but in the meantime she’s fun to watch. Here she is arriving at Paris Hilton’s house for an after hours party last night. Keeping late hours like these indicates she may have dropped out of school. NOT a good thing.

COLLECT CALL FROM JOE FRANCIS – DO YOU ACCEPT THE CHARGES?

He’s sitting in jail, serving time for tax evasion, contempt of court, molesting minors, bribery etc. – facing a hundred years in prison, and NO ONE is returning his calls! The Girls Gone Wild mogul has been reaching out to his celebrity friends – he wants them to write letters defending his character to the judge. These are the same celebrities who didn’t hesitate to accept Joe’s hospitality when he was on top of the world. They flew in his Gulfstream jet and enjoyed his Caligula-like parties in LA, Miami, Mexico, etc. Paris and Nicky Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Tara Reed, Kimberly Stewart, Jessica Alba, Mario Lopez, and MANY more, wallowed in his celebrity ass-kissing. Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn were among the droves who enjoyed his generosity and hospitality at his Cabo beachfront mansion. Now they won’t give him the time of day. Joe has been calling collect from jail all over Hollywood, begging people he thought were his friends to accept his call or call him back. No response. Joe is very upset and he told one friend that he just MIGHT be tempted write a tell-all book detailing those celebrity get-togethers and all the drugs and sex secrets!

NICOLE RICHIE: ONE SIZE LARGER AT DIOR

Nice to see the “cute” Nicole Richie is back instead of the “cadaverous” Nicole Richie. Here she is in her spring shorts, shopping at Dior in Beverly Hills. We wonder if her boyfriend Joel Madden, the Good Charlotte rocker who claims to be against drugging and drinking, has actually been a good influence on her. Looks that way.
