It so happens Melanie Griffith has ANOTHER beautiful daughter – 18 year old Stella Banderas. Melanie and Stella shopped together at Fred Segal and couldn’t wait to get to the parking lot so Stella could try out her new Hovertrax board. (It’s like a mini-Segway.) This new invention for lazy people costs about $1500 but looks like fun.

Interesting photo of Mischa Barton, 29, and Dustin’s cute son Jake Hoffman, 34, in New York. Are they more than just friends? Dog walking often indicates a budding relationship. Mischa could certainly do worse – she used to date Brandon Davis! You may remember, Jake played shoe designer Steve Madden in “The Wolf of Wall Street.” Mischa has financial problems – she’s currently suing her mother for pilfering her money while acting as her “manager.”

Pop singers Rita Ora, 24, and Miley Cyrus, 22, left the Met Costume Gala hand in hand on their way to hit the after parties. Miley debuted her new hair color and slick no nonsense style. Her heavily studded cut-out dress provided more than enough extravagance. Rita was a bit more feminine in her sophisticated Tom Ford frock, but both girls LOVE to have a good time, so they’re headed for a fun night.

It was a nice surprise to see Lisa Bonet all dolled up, leaving the Bowery Hotel on her way to the “China: Through The Looking Glass” themed Costume Institute Benefit Gala at the Met. Her gorgeous husband Jason Momoa was nowhere to be found (we’d love to see HIM dressed up!) but Lisa met up with her actress daughter Zoe Kravitz, 26, (Divergent) and her exhusband Lenny Kravitz and they all went to the event together. Sweet.

If there were an award for Best Looking Couple at the Met Gala tonight, the winners would have to be Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney. Since he married Amal, George has kicked it up a notch when it comes to dressing up. His tuxedo tailcoat is super elegant and compliments her amazing red gown. Kanye and Kim are going to be green with envy…

We told you “Hamilton “ was the hottest ticket in New York – Cher saw the show this weekend and so did Meg Ryan and her tall son Jack Quaid. Jack, 23, is still studying at NYU but he makes a living as an actor. He appeared in the two Hunger Games movies as a villain and he has four independent films coming out this year. Meg looks adorable as usual in her Comme Des Garcons inspired outfit.

Cher hasn’t been seen a lot since she cancelled her tour last fall for health reasons. She was suffering from a viral infection that affected her kidneys. She’s been home tweeting a lot lately however. Occasionally her tweets are a little nuts like the one claiming that diet drinks are just as fattening as sugary sodas, but she’s always opinionated. Above, Cher was photographed on her way to see “Hamilton” at the Public Theater downtown – it’s described as the hottest ticket in New York.

Most of the time we see Sofia Vergara dressed to kill snuggling in her fiancé Joe Manganiello’s arms at a red carpet event. So it’s a real treat to catch her in torn jeans and sneakers schlepping groceries. Her natural beauty still shines through as her hair is tossed about by the wind. No wonder her cheating ex Nick Loeb is feeling regretful and harassing her about those embryos.

Nice to see Lauren Scruggs out and having a good time at Chateau Marmont with her new husband. Four years ago the young model/fashion blogger from Texas lost her left eye and arm in an airplane propeller accident. Luckily, the 26 year old has a supportive mother who helped her survive the trauma. In December, Lauren married E! news correspondent Jason Kennedy and she wrote a book about her survival and “new reality.”

Hardly a day goes by in our house that we don’t hear a song by Ben E King or The Drifters – that’s how much we love them. And Ben’s voice was magic – sometimes so dramatic and filled with teenage yearning, and sometimes whimsical. Save the Last Dance For Me was our absolute favorite (click HERE to listen) but there was also Spanish Harlem, This Magic Moment, I (Who Have Nothing) etc etc….Ben was fabulous with and without The Drifters. And he retained that VOICE and performed until the very end. Which came way too soon.
