Sad to hear that rockabilly singer Sanford Clark died from Covid this week. He wasn’t as famous as Gene Vincent or Eddie Cochran or Jerry Lee Lewis, but his deep voice and songs were highly danceable. And he was an inspiration to other singers, like Elvis. Of course, he also had that great pompadour. What happened to rockabilly music? We still see rockabillies at flea markets or thrift stores occasionally, but they are way too scarce. The last time we heard rockabilly music live was a LONG time ago when we saw The Stray Cats…

IS THIS WHAT PARIS WANTS WOMEN TO LOOK LIKE?

Are we crazy or does this model look like DEATH WARMED OVER? Expensive Haute Couture collections are showing in Paris and this designer apparently does not hire models who weigh over 100 pounds. This Lebanese designer is Georges Hobeika, and his evening wear STARTS at $7000. We looked at his entire collection and all the models look painfully starved and skeletal like this one. In fact, they were so gaunt we hardly noticed the fashions! Isn’t this a giant step BACK for women, who have long struggled with body image? What was this guy thinking?

HEIDI KLUM ‘S PERFECT WORLD

America’s got Talent judge Heidi Klum, 48, admits she is having the time of her life. Not only is her career going great guns – she’s worth 160 million and earns around 20 million per year as a producer and TV personality, among other things. She IS one of the most successful models of all time. Not only THAT, but she has a hot new seventeen-years-younger musician husband who’s crazy about her. Tom Kaulitz doesn’t even mind that she already has four children! Tom and Heidi took her two oldest daughters Leni, 17, (her father is Flavio Briatore) and Lou, 11, (her father is Seal) for lunch and shopping at Fred Segal this weekend. Tom seems to be happily carrying their purchases.

LADY GAGA MAKES DRAMATIC EXIT

Not so fast, Billy Porter – you are NOT the only person who can successfully STRIKE A POSE! Lady Gaga flaunted her fashion outside The Plaza Hotel before she slipped away to an “undisclosed location” to tape a musical special with 94 year old Tony Bennett at 11 AM (!) Friday. MTV Unplugged kept the event a big secret and has made no announcement about when or whether the show will air on TV.

AMBER HEARD GOT A BABY WITH NO STRINGS ATTACHED “YOU DON’T NEED A RING TO HAVE A CRIB!”

Amber Heard’s experience being married to Johnny Depp (for just a year) may have REALLY turned her off trusting men. She’s been wanting a baby for awhile and was excited to welcome a baby by surrogate last month. It IS ironic that she was married to one of the best looking actors in Hollywood, but did NOT choose him to father her child! The scandalous divorce involved embarrassing lawsuits for both Johnny and Amber, and since the split she has been keeping company with women. She announced the birth on Instagram, saying this is the beginning of the rest of her life. Too bad- she saddled the baby girl with the name Oonagh Paige Heard…

CAMILLE COSBY: OMIGOSH- HE’S BAAAAACK!

Bill and Camille Cosby’s marriage has always been a mystery. No matter how many times he cheated on her, she never complained or seemed remotely interested. EVERYBODY knew about Cosby’s hot pursuit of women wherever he went. He was a Playboy mansion regular. The National Enquirer had a deal with Cosby- they killed stories that Cosby’s women sold them and in exchange, Cosby cooperated with the tabloid and gave occasional interviews. The Cosbys had numerous homes so Bill always had a place to bring his women and avoided hotels. Occasionally women he brought home suspected Camille was asleep somewhere in the same large house! When Bill was convicted of rape in 2019, Camille took the staff and moved out of their Massachusetts mansion and into their Pennsylvania home – leaving him alone until he was incarcerated. She NEVER visited him in prison and probably assumed he was out of her life. We cannot imagine she’s really delighted about Cosby’s sudden release… it’s inconvenient at best.

LADY GAGA OR JOAN COLLINS?

Yep, it’s Lady Gaga doing her best imitation of Joan Collins walking out of Craigs Restaurant in LA. Actually, Gaga is leaving the Plaza Hotel in New York and we figured out WHY she’s dressed this way. She is obviously going to rehearsal for the MTV Unplugged show she’s taping Friday with Tony Bennett! (This is a look he can identify with) It’s Tony’s first appearance since he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, but apparently it has not affected his work. No one knows exactly when the performance will appear on TV yet…

HAS PHYLICIA RASHAD LOST HER MIND?

Not sure what was more devastating this morning – the news that Bill Cosby’s sexual assault conviction was overturned and he’s already been released from prison, OR the fact that his TV wife Phylicia Rashad is HAPPY about it! Keep in mind, he was released due to a procedural issue and it had NOTHING to do with the facts of the crime. He is still GUILTY. Why Phylicia is celebrating this crime against women is a mystery – we always found her to be a sensible and intelligent woman. She believes the accusations were “a conspiracy against Cosby’s legacy” and declared today “ A terrible wrong is being righted!” What is RIGHT about the egotistical Bill Cosby NOT being punished for his crimes? It so happens we WITNESSED one of his attempted seductions and it happened just they way all those girls described…

When it rains it pours, and this television couple is about the get drenched. Even though they found fame and fortune on TV, the past few weeks have been riddled with professional setbacks for them. Their careers are suddenly on life support and now, unbeknownst to the hubby, their personal life is too! SHE’S about to file for divorce. Apparently our silver fox TV star isn’t so foxy now that’s he’s out of a job, so her reality set in and she wants out.

MICHAEL GANDOLFINI : TIME FOR ANOTHER DOSE OF THE SOPRANOS

NOBODY is happier that Covid is winding down and movies are starting to be released again than Michael Gandolfini. Michael finished filming the prequel to The Sopranos, called The Many Saints of Newark, in June 2019 and has been waiting impatiently for a release date (and for his career to take off!) Michael, of course, plays his father James Gandolfini’s character as a teenager in the highly anticipated Saints move. It’s written and produced by David Chase who created the much beloved Sopranos, and we have MISSED that family! The trailer above, will whet your appetite…
