MANESKIN PUTS THE GLITTER BACK INTO ROCK

In case you missed the Jan 23 performance of the Italian group Maneskin on Saturday Night Live- here’s another chance to see it. We weren’t familiar with the band and LOVED revisiting the fun world of Glam Rock (or you might call it Glitter Rock) Platform shoes! Makeup! Flamboyant fashion! Gender-freedom! We haven’t had this much fun since the New York Dolls, T.Rex, and sometimes Queen. Lead singer Damiano David,23, who’s not above wearing fishnet hose, is destined for big things…

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER : WHAT’S GOING ON HERE?

Arnold Schwarzenegger posted this provocative photo that looks like a movie poster on instagram today. It was simply labeled “Coming February 2022.” Celebrity journalists scrambled, but could find NO information about a movie coming out. Certainly Arnold would ENJOY playing Zeus, the King of all the Greek gods on Mount Olympus in Greek mythology, but a film doesn’t seem to be happening. Some speculated that the picture could be a hint about an upcoming Super Bowl (Feb 13) ad, but there is no indication of WHAT it might be advertising. Sly Stallone must be burning with curiosity…

PEGGY SUE GOT MARRIED IS WORTH REVISITING

We came across this photo of young Nicolas Cage and Jim Carrey on Instagram and realized it was from a 1986 film we loved – Peggy Sue Got Married. (Named after the Buddy Holly song) Kathleen Turner starred as a woman about to be divorced who faints at her 25 year high school reunion and wakes up in 1960 when she was a high school senior. (This was filmed before Kathleen got that deep voice) Frances Ford Coppola directed the sweet and adorable story and he urged his nephew Nicolas Cage to play the part of Kathleen’s HS sweetheart. Cage’s performance can only be described as weird, but Kathleen got an Oscar nomination. Years later, when Kathleen wrote her autobiography she admitted that she wasn’t fond of Cage and accused him of having two DUIs and kidnapping a chihuahua while filming Peggy Sue. Outraged, he denied all and took her to court and won the case – she had to publicly apologize!

BRAD PITT IS AN EXPERT AT UNDERCOVER LIASIONS

Is Brad Pitt actually dating someone? That’s the question buzzing through the gossipy media- although there ARE no photos to back it up! It’s been almost six years since he and Angelina Jolie split and paparazzi are still DYING to score a photo of Brad, 58, with a female companion. Keep in mind, Angelina Jolie made sure she was photographed with The Weeknd when they had a dinner date. European sources are insisting that Brad has been seeing Swedish singer Lykke Li, 35, who happens to be a neighbor of his in Los Feliz. We can’t help but wonder how they met – was it online? Or at their local Gelson’s supermarket? Of course, Brad was also linked to another neighbor- actress Ali Shawkat – and that just turned out to be a friendship. So far, sneaky Brad is keeping his dalliances a secret…

MALIA OBAMA INHERITED A BAD HABIT

Malia Obama, 23, is fitting right in to the Los Angeles lifestyle. She was spotted deep in conversation with a male companion at Alfred Coffee in West Hollywood. The Harvard grad probably had little difficulty getting her new writing job for a project at Amazon. She always loved filmmaking and interned at the notorious Weinstein Co in 2017. Remember when she confronted her dad after catching him smoking in the White House? She was worried about his health. Ironically, it seems she picked up his bad habit – and has been seen smoking herself for a few years – now she’s the one taking smoke breaks at work.

ADELE IS LYING TO HER FANS

When Adele abruptly canceled her four month Las Vegas residency 24 hours before the first show, she tearfully blamed Covid among the cast and crew, plus delivery delays. (Of course other shows had managed to survive thru those same problems!) Most revealing was the fact that Adele CANCELED her residency instead of POSTPONING it – implying there’s more to this than meets the eye. The truth is coming out in bits and pieces. A source at Caesar’s Palace where she was rehearsing said Adele couldn’t get through a single rehearsal without passionately calling her boyfriend Rich Paul and crying and shouting into the phone. Relationship problems? Was the pressure for a huge extravaganza more than she could handle? Has her stage fright returned? It’s a disaster for Caesar’s Palace and Adele is not being honest about the situation. (And this isn’t the only thing she’s lying about- more on that later)

JASON MOMOA’S NEW HOME

We were quite surprised when, after 16 years and two children together, Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet split up. No divorce papers have been filed yet, but they announced the split on January 13, and apparently have gone their separate ways. Lisa is still living in their home with the kids, while 6’4” Jason has been camping out in his beloved Earthromer RV on a friend’s property. Jason loves the $750,000 (!) custom vehicle SO much that he drove it to the Aquaman premier in 2019.The tricked out RV features a California king-size bed and comes with every luxury – including a gun safe…

ANOTHER MURDER IN THIS NEW YORK BUILDING

We have to admit we like the stars (Steve Martin, Selena Gomez, and Martin Short) of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building better than the actual story, but that’s enough to pull us back for another season. After a murder in their NY apartment building, the tenants get to know each other and join forces to solve the crime. There were funny moments in season 1, but the story seemed rather haphazard and the finale was puzzling. The producer promises that the new season of the comedy/mystery (it makes fun of TV crime shows) that just started filming, will tie up all the loose ends and satisfy viewers. The series is also drawing celebrity cameos- Amy Schumer and Shirley MacLaine, among others, are poking their noses into season 2.

KIM K HAS NO COMPLAINTS ABOUT KANYE’S NEW GIRLFRIEND

Julia Fox is still enjoying the whirlwind lifestyle of dating Kanye West – and she allows him to style her looks for all occasions. But Julia is young and pretty – Kanye wants her to look like a dominatrix. It must be fun for Julia to have a front row seat at the Schiaparelli fashion show in Paris, but her makeup and black leather outfit make her look hard as nails. Meanwhile, Kim seems to be RELIEVED that aspiring designer Kanye isn’t still dressing HER. She’s not jealous of Julia-she APPROVES- in fact she’s delighted that Kanye is keeping busy with Julia and not harassing her or complaining about her to the press.
