Rihanna braved a New York snowstorm Sunday night to meet her beau ASAP Rocky for dinner. We couldn’t help but notice her footwear- a cross between cowboy boots and sneakers. The first designer to bravely merge cowboys and sports was Tony Lama back in 1984 and they were described as surprisingly comfortable. The late Virgil Abloh designed Rihanna’s cowboy sneakers this year for Louis Vuitton – in fact it was one of his last creations. That means these boots are probably collectors items…

THE OLSEN TWINS ACTUALLY SHOWED UP FOR BOB SAGET FUNERAL

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were the ONLY Full House main cast members who didn’t return for the Netflix reboot Fuller House in 2016, but the twins turned up for their TV dad Bob Saget’s funeral. ANOTHER MODERN AND SENSIBLE SPLIT: JASON MOMOA AND LISA BONET

You have to appreciate the delicate way that Jason Momoa announced that he and Lisa Bonet are splitting up. He said their love carries on, but they plan to “free each other.” After 16 years and two children, they are going their separate ways. We remember seeing Jason, Lisa, and her mother at the Rose Bowl flea market early in their relationship. HALLE BERRY BECAME FRIENDS WITH HER CHILDHOOD IDOL

Back in the 90’s when we had an expense account, we used to frequent the fancier restaurants in Beverly Hills. Every once in awhile, there would be a fuss, and Sidney Poitier (along with companions) would be leaving the restaurant, and MANY people (including other celebrities) would stop him to chat. He was always charming and generous with his time with everyone, as we watched in awe. Halle Berry posted this adorable photo of herself with Sidney in Variety along with a nice tribute about how she grew up idolizing him, and how they met and became friends in Hollywood.

SHE FAMOUSLY NAVIGATES THE WORLD UNMOLESTED

You’d never guess that behind that cart is the famous star of the biggest hit show now in Las Vegas! Who ELSE but Katy Perry! Katy’s production, called PLAY, at Resorts World Las Vegas is enjoying excellent reviews and has been described as: “emotional, whimsical, psychedelic, fantasy and high camp.” The show opens with Katy climbing out of a giant orange toilet! Off-stage, Katy knows how to get around alone and unnoticed. She went grocery shopping incognito at LA’s Erewhon (one of our favorite markets) dressed in a nondescript quilted coat with baggy lavender sweats underneath, a fanny pack, and sandals (in January!) a baseball cap, and of course, the ever-present mask. She loaded her groceries into the car and no one paid any attention…
