JEN AND BEN CELEBRATE THEIR ANNIVERSARY

Just because they’re living apart, didn’t mean that Ben Affleck didn’t do something extra special for his estranged wife, Jennifer Lopez. The couple celebrated their second wedding anniversary (already?) on July 16 and according to my source, although they didn’t spend the day together, Ben did make sure to send Jennifer an anniversary gift – and QUITE a gift it was. As we previously reported, the couple are trying to figure out their future, and although they’re selling their Beverly Hills home, they’re not ready to throw in the towel on their marriage just yet. Ben’s not known for extravagant gift giving, but he splurged on massive vintage emerald ring for Jen which he tucked in the pocket of a cotton robe. Why a cotton robe? Cotton is the traditional gift for the 2nd anniversary, that’s why.

Anniversary Chrissy Teigen Diamond Ring Gift

CHRISSY TEIGEN IS TRYING TO DO THE RIGHT THING

We recently shared what we called “one last tidbit” from our exclusive scoop on Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s vow renewal, but then we heard this bit of juicy gossip and just HAD to pass it on. Days after her Lake Como ceremony, Chrissy gave an interview to People magazine where she blabbed that she and John didn’t exchange gifts for their 10-year anniversary vow renewal but an insider says that’s NOT TRUE. In fact, the couple exchanged new rings, with Chrissy scoring a 10 carat diamond sparkler and John getting a more toned down ring. Why did Chrissy fib? As we previously reported she’s desperate to be liked again and feared blabbing about some pricey ring wasn’t appropriate, especially now with so many people in the entertainment industry on strike and struggling to make ends meet. When she returned from Italy, Chrissy attended a One Fair Wage event (photo above) to “end sub-minimum wages” for restaurant workers- not sure if she wore the ring…

JOHN LEGEND AND CHRISSY ARE HOSTING LAVISH 3 DAY ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION IN ITALY

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are going back to the scene of the crime – they’re renewing their vows in the same place they married 10 years ago! The couple have a lot to celebrate after a rough few years. Chrissy suffered a devastating miscarriage and was almost canceled after some of her past unkind tweets resurfaced. Chrissy and John recently welcomed another baby and decided to mark their 10 year wedding anniversary with an over-the-top celebration in Lake Como, Italy. They’ve invited HUNDREDS of their closest friends and even developed a WEBSITE with instructions for their guests – they’re sticking to a specific dress code so the website includes a montage of photos advising their guests on what to wear to each event. The good times start on Friday, September 15th, and last for three days – wrapping up on Sunday the 17th. Chrissy and John are picking up the tab for the festivities, but expect their guests to pay for their own flights and hotels. On the agenda: a cocktail party on Friday, a lavish black tie reception where they will renew their wedding vows on Saturday, and then a pool party on Sunday afternoon before everyone says arrivederci.

SIMON COWELL NIXED BLACK TIE FOR DECOLLETE

It takes all kinds. Joan Collins (age 88 – can you believe it?) had an elegant black tie party at Claridge’s Hotel in London to celebrate her 20th wedding anniversary with Percy Gibson. Among the guests were Elizabeth Hurley and her customary date, her 19 year old son Damian Hurley. Damian wore his long hair back in a ponytail with his tuxedo, and his mother wore a sexy gown as usual. He has quite a modeling career going these days – too bad he has no time for college. Simon Cowell and his fiancee Lauren Silverman were also at the event – all the other men wore tuxes, but Simon is accustomed to showing off his irresistible chest – and ignored the formal invitation.

Back in 1996, before they were married, they costarred on Broadway in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Patrick “McDreamy” Dempsey and his wife Jillian Fink landed at LAX looking relaxed after a tropical vacation where they celebrated their anniversary. Jillian posted an Instagram photo of them kissing on the beach with a sweet love note to her husband “Happy 18th anniversary – through thick and thin …I love you.” “Thin” refers to five years ago when the marriage was in jeopardy and Jillian filed for divorce, but Patrick came to his senses and managed to patch things up. Now they seem happier than ever. They have three kids and Patrick credits his wife for his successful career.

Anniversary Karen Lynn Gorney Saturday Night Fever

OBSESSED WITH SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER

If you’re wondering who these two people are, the guy is a wealthy Italian, Gianluca Mech, and the woman is Karen Lynn Gorney – she was John Travolta’s leading lady in Saturday Night Fever. (She famously said no to Tony Manero.) It happens to be the 40th anniversary of the movie, and Mech is a superfan, to put it mildly. He spent $200,000 to duplicate the movie’s 2001 Odyssey Disco at exactly the same location in Bay Ridge, used in the movie. It’s now a Chinese restaurant, but Mech had a special lighted dancefloor built and redecorated the place for his party. He flew in 50 friends from Italy and invited anyone in disco vintage attire to join the party. Of course he invited the cast – Travolta didn’t show up, but Karen did, and Monti Rock III was DJ.

RAY LIOTTA AND LORRAINE BRACCO: LOOKIN’ GOODFELLAS

Of all the cast members who showed up for the 25th anniversary of the movie “Goodfellas” in NYC, we were most impressed with Ray Liotta and Lorraine Bracco – they both look great and none the worse for wear. Ray, of course played gangster Henry Hill and Lorraine was his long suffering wife Karen. Ray beat out Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin and Sean Penn for his role, and Lorraine got an Oscar nomination for her performance. We loved the sound track to that movie.
