While Adele’s boyfriend Rich Paul had the nerve to go out to a business dinner without her this weekend, we were more fascinated by Ben Affleck’s home maintenance habits. Every week around the same time his Pacific Palisades neighbors see this funny little car parked in front of his house. It features a dog sitting on a toilet reading a newspaper and a big sign that says POOP 911. Ben has dogs, and once a week this pet waste removal company comes (in uniform!) and cleans up all the dog poop in his backyard for a nominal fee. (This is not just an LA thing- their services are offered in 30 states.) Ben has better things to do with his time…

GENE SIMMONS’ HARSH DOSE OF REALITY

It was a little over a year ago that Gene Simmons made the ponderous announcement that he and his wife Shannon Tweed were leaving California. His main gripe seemed to be that the tax rates were “unacceptable,” but he also complained about earthquakes, traffic, fires, and even pesky tour busses. He decided to leave this “uninhabitable” state and move to tax-friendly Nevada. He packed up, sold his Beverly Hills house, and bought a place in Lake Tahoe. Around that time he had a gallery showing of his art at The Venetian in Las Vegas. We’re not sure if his art sold well, but before we knew it, Gene was MOANING about the desert heat. Before Christmas, Gene and Shannon quietly moved back to a gorgeous architectural home in Bel-Air. So much for “uninhabitable” California…

ADELE’S BOYFRIEND HAS AN ULTIMATUM

You already knew that Adele’s problems with her boyfriend Rich Paul contributed heavily to the cancellation of her Las Vegas show. Her shouting and crying on the phone with him during rehearsals was evident to everyone on the set. After she called the show off and taped her tearful “the show ain’t ready” message to fans – she left Vegas and went directly to Rich Paul’s Beverly Hills house to try and fix their situation. UK papers are saying she won’t leave until he promises NOT to break up with her! Paul is LeBron James’ sports agent, among others, and he happens to be a very busy man. That’s why he wasn’t in Las Vegas with Adele when she was prepping the complicated show. He’s got a difficult situation on his hands…

MICHAEL DOUGLAS FAMILY EXPLORED DOMENICA TOGETHER

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have been making the most of the pandemic isolation time with their family. Recently they arrived in Portsmouth, Domenica, on a yacht to enjoy the tropical forests and coral reefs. Both of their kids – Dylan, 21, and Carys, 18, aspire to show biz careers – but NOT until they get their college diplomas. SIMON COWELL: MORE MISPLACED MACHISMO

We ran across this 1980’s photo of Simon Cowell with Farrah Fawcett feathered hair, flexing his biceps with his then-girlfriend, singer Sinitta. There’s no doubt that he enjoys his own masculinity, and while his hair has gotten shorter, he still has the same style and attitude. That includes his e-bike riding. He didn’t learn a lesson the first time he lost control of his electric bike on wet pavement in Malibu and broke his back 18 months ago. No helmet. To his credit he continued riding – but STILL without a helmet and just had the same accident on a slick street in London. Onlookers had to stop traffic so he wouldn’t get run over. He ended up with a bloody face, possible concussion, and a broken arm.

KANYE AND JULIA: IS THIS REALLY A ROMANCE?

There’s a steadily growing rumor circulating in Hollywood that Kanye West and his female companion Julia Fox do NOT have sex. The more they are seen out together, the more observers seem to believe this. Keep in mind, whenever they are seen in public, Kanye and Julia are followed by paparazzi – sometimes hired by Kanye. The couple look as though they enjoy trying on designer clothes in hotel rooms and making appearances at important events dressed to the nines. JERSEY SHORE GIRLFRIEND BUYS A FRENCH BULLDOG ON THE STREET – RODEO DRIVE!

Jersey Shore fans might be amused to know that Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s girlfriend Jen Harley has a new guy to push around. You might remember that Jen has had a number of arrests for domestic violence- the last one was in Las Vegas in June when she was booked for assault with a deadly weapon after she threatened to kill her new boyfriend Joseph Ambrosole with a gun. Joseph apparently forgave her because this week he and Jen had lunch at Il Pastaio and shopped at Dior in Beverly Hills. On Rodeo Drive they ran into someone SELLING a coveted French bulldog ON THE STREET and Jen fell in love with it. Joe impulsively BOUGHT the pup for Jen for $3500. It’s horrifying, because the dog could have been stolen or in-bred by an unscrupulous breeder. Hopefully Jen treats her dogs better than her boyfriends…

KENDALL JENNER: IT’S NOT EASY BEING BEAUTIFUL

Kendall Jenner was seen driving this brand new yellow Ferrari today and we have to question her common sense. Sure, the car is a beauty- in fact Kendall has had more than one Ferrari along with her vintage lavender Cadillac convertible. But can she really ENJOY it? The famous model has already been forced to move several times by crazy stalkers. One threatened to kill her and himself, another was determined to get naked in her pool, and another repeatedly rammed her neighborhood security guard gate with his car. One was deported and another held on involuntary psychiatric hold. After all those restraining orders, does Kendall really want to drive around in such an eye-catching car?

KID ROCK AND HIS MISPLACED MACHISMO

It will be interesting to see how Kid Rock’s Bad Reputation tour 2022 pans out since he announced that he won’t perform at any venues that require vaccinations or masks. His tour starts April 6 and runs to June 15. He assured fans that they will get refunds if the venues still have Covid mandates by the dates of his scheduled concerts. He’s making a big deal out of his macho anti-vax posturing, but if the rest of us are careful, Covid might have subsided and mandates be dropped by his start date- or he will lose a lot of money. Uncooperative Buffalo and Toronto already backed OFF the tour list and most of Rock’s concerts are in small towns in the South and Midwest, so he might get lucky. But he’s still obnoxious.
