The biggest news of the week was Kamala Harris choosing Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her vice presidential running mate. We couldn’t wait to share this interesting tidbit. As part of her selection process Kamala challenged each of her potential running mates to a game of Scrabble (she’s a pro at it and very competitive ) and she was most impressed with Tim’s vocabulary (he is a former teacher, after all). While that wasn’t the sole factor in decision making, my Washington D.C. source says it certainly didn’t hurt Tim’s chances of landing the coveted spot.
Blake Shelton made news with his upcoming Las Vegas residency at Caesar’s Palace and here’s what we know. Blake’s better half, Gwen Stefani is not only planning to stay with him in Vegas when he performs, she’s going to be making unannounced appearances with him on stage. Gwen is no stranger to Las Vegas residencys -she completed one herself at Planet Hollywood. Her unpaid and unannounced appearances with Blake are a way to not only support him, but according to my source, keep an EYE on him as well. There’s no trouble in paradise and Gwen intends to keep it that way, as she’s seen what happens in Vegas with those sexy showgirls.
Megan Fox recently made headlines when she appeared pregnant in her boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly’s music video for his song, Lonely Road. According to my source, this could soon be a case of art imitating life. I hear that Megan has been confiding to pals that she and MGK are actively trying to have a baby. For what it’s worth Megan has stopped drinking and was recently seen looking at high-end cribs at a furniture store in Los Angeles. Stay tuned – as we expect a pregnancy announcement soon.
Ben Affleck made news when it was revealed he purchased a house all by himself close to the neighborhood he lived in with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. While Garner has moved on and is actually hoping Ben works things out with his estranged wife Jennifer Lopez, we just heard that she has AGREED to help Ben furnish the entire house. According to my source, Ben needs everything from towels to mattresses, TVs to artwork, and he is completely overwhelmed by the idea of furnishing a house. He can’t ask J.Lo to do it, so he reached out to Garner and she reluctantly agreed to help decorate the pad. Don’t read more into this though, as my source insists she wouldn’t take him back if he was the last man on earth, but HE IS the father of her children so she felt obliged to help.
And finally it wouldn’t be a week without another crazy Donald Trump story. 78-year old Donald really went off his rocker this past week when he questioned whether Kamala Harris was actually black, (we know he’s a loony tune but this was even weird for him). We just heard that his daughter Ivanka, who’s desperately trying to distance herself from her father, reached out and scolded him for the misstep. According to my inside source, Ivanka BEGGED her father to keep race out of this election. As my source put it, Ivanka knows she can’t control her dad, but she’s just trying to limit his craziness to protect her own image.
