Tom Cruise was in the news this week when he appeared as a guest on The Jennifer Hudson Show and handed out slices of the famous white chocolate coconut cake he gives his friends and associates for Christmas. We can tell you this. Not only have we HAD the cake (and it IS yummy!), but now Tom wants to become a partner in Doan’s Bakery , where the cakes are made. They only have a single location in Woodland Hills, California, and Tom wants to turn the business into a chain with locations across the United States. Tom’s in top secret talks about becoming an investor and spearheading the expansion. THAT’S how much he loves that cake!
One of the top stories of the week was about Meghan Markle and her former agent at William Morris Endeavor , Hollywood bigwig Ari Emanuel. Ari gave an interview and was asked what he thought about Meghan’s career and his snippy reply was ( we’re paraphrasing ) it’s great for him that he no longer needs to think about it any longer. We can tell you this. Since Meghan and her brands are still represented by WME ( although not by Ari) his comments didn’t sit well with her , and she’s justifiably thinking about switching agencies. Don’t be shocked if a statement is released soon that’s she’s parting ways with WME.
We were the first to break the story that Macklemore was launching a solo tour after getting booted as the opening act from Ed Sheeran’s tour, and now we can be the first to tell you this: Macklemore ‘s limited Free Palestine tour sold out immediately and now plans are underway to bring the show to venues around the world , including the USA. We are hearing a string of new concert dates will be announced shortly.
The tragic case of convicted killer Christa Pike was a big story as she was about to be executed but SURVIVED the lethal dose of drugs injected into her. We can tell you this. Sandra Bullock is now hoping to secure the rights to her story and turn it into a movie including the botched execution attempt. Sandra isn’t taking a stance on the death penalty , but she does feel Christa’s story is compelling and that’s why she’s even planning to play the adult version of her in a movie if she can land the rights.
The death of Presley Gerber continued to make headlines as new details emerged. We know this. Presley’s grieving parents, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber are lawyering up and plan to sue the sober living house where Presley passed away less than 24 hours after being admitted. My source says they are also hoping to get a law passed named after their late son making it illegal for sober living houses to admit anyone who’s under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Presley was reportedly high when he was admitted to the sober facility and the place wasn’t properly equipped to help him detox.
Diddy made the news when it was announced his release from prison had been pushed up a few weeks yet again. My source says that Diddy feels he will likely be a free man before January 1, 2028 and that’s why he’s already planning his getting-out-of jail party tentatively scheduled for December 31, 2027. Keep in mind , this date is fluid since as of now, Diddy isn’t expected to be released until a few weeks after that date. Yet, Diddy’s legal team calculates that if all goes according to plan, he will be free in time to ring in 2028 with a celebration like NO other.
Pete Davidson made headlines and raised a few eyebrows when he discussed his hardcore drug use in an interview with Variety. We can tell you this. Pete decided to start talking about his past drug abuse because he’s working on an autobiography. He plans to spill the beans on his past high profile romances (Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande) as well as go into more details about his drug addictions, mental illness and time on SNL. THAT’S the reason he dropped a few juicy nuggets in the Variety interview -and now we hear publishers are interested in securing the rights to his life story.
