Something is very fishy about the fact that Charlie Hunnam walked away from his leading role in “Fifty Shades of Grey.” The “Sons of Anarchy” hunk claimed he was too busy filming his TV series. As if he didn’t know about that before he signed up! There’s a lot more to this than meets the eye. Was Charlie offended by the aggressive “Fifty Shades” fans who thought he was miscast and made a huge fuss? (He was basically unknown before this, but we were looking forward to seeing him suited up in the part) ) Did the fact that producers hired a bodyguard for him, scare him off? Did he really quit or was he quietly paid off under the table and sent packing? What’s going to happen to the movie and his costar Dakota Johnson? Will the new leading man be paired up with someone else? Will we ever know the truth? Do we care?

  1. I, for one, was warming up to the idea of this guy playing Gray, so I am sorry for his departure. Wasn’t sure about Dakota in the Ana role, but then I stopped to think about it — would I even go to the movie? Probably not, so it really doesn’t matter to me.

One thing I know for damn certain. The movie will be far better written than that crappy book. It was like running nails over a chalk board to read. People didn’t read it for the artistic value, or plot, or anything remotely nodding to literature. Then everyone read it, just because everyone was reading it. Mostly teenage girls. Don’t think about that too long. That’s the same age target as the now women who idolized the character in Pretty Woman in late 80s.

  2. No actor that really respects himself and his work would star in such crap as 50 shades of shit

  3. I have read the books, actually working on book 3 right now. It is not a bad read at all. Somebody must like it cause it has a HUGE following.

  4. I read somewhere he didn’t like the script and had already written about 50 pages of corrections that he submitted.
