It’s a warm and sunny day in August and as usual Diane Keaton defies the weather by wearing layers of mostly black, topped off with a wool sweater tied around her waist. Only her toes are exposed to the sun! She’s cooling off with some Pinkberry yogurt in Beverly Hills. Right now Diane is filming Book Club with Jane Fonda and Mary Steenburgen – it’s about four women whose lives are changed after they read “Fifty Shades of Grey” for their book club.

We still get a kick out of celebrities” lookalike stunt doubles and Jennifer Lopez has a cute one this season on the set of Shades of Blue. Her doubles only do the very rigorous action scenes and if the action is TOO violent they put a Jennifer wig on a slim guy. Wonder if the lookalike ever uses the resemblance to get into a club or something…

ONE JENNIFER LOPEZ IS NOT ENOUGH

Beverly Hills, 90210 seems like a distant memory as Jennie Garth, who played Kelly, has a “frazzled housewife” moment in Studio City. She was in the process of returning an As Seen On TV impulse purchase to Bed, Bath and Beyond. It was a red copper square pan. Jennie, 45, actually IS a housewife – she’s been married to her third husband, actor Dave Abrams, since 2015, and has three daughters with her middle husband Peter Facinelli. They have a good relationship and all vacation together.

Anyone out there who loves science fiction – and we DON’T mean the kind where spaceships chase each other around causing explosions or guys fight with ray guns – is going to love Passengers. This is the GOOD kind of science fiction depicting people living in the future – and travel, in particular. It takes place on an enormous ultramodern space ship loaded with fantastic inventions. Humans are faced with a moral dilemma. Don’t research this movie in advance – it will spoil the surprise. Just see it!
