Swine Flu

DID SWINE FLU KEEP NICOLE RICHIE AWAY FROM HER OWN PARTY?

Nicole Richie missed the launch of her own jewelry line at Bebe on Rodeo this week. She designed special affordable pieces from her “House of Harlow 1960” collection just for the store. She called in sick and the buzz at the party was that she has swine flu. Maybe that’s the buzz she INTENDED because everybody was worried about her and not annoyed by the no-show. Swine flu is a great excuse for missing anything.

SWINE FLU PANIC CLOSED DOWN BROTHERS & SISTERS PRODUCTION

Swine flu finally reared it’s ugly head in Hollywood and naturally everybody panicked- for awhile. Calmer heads eventually prevailed. Last week the cast and crew of Brothers & Sisters, including Sally Field, Rob Lowe, Calista Flockhart, and Rachel Griffiths, received ominous phone calls from the production office telling them that “someone” connected to the show had tested POSITIVE for swine flu, but they refused to identify who it was. The caller told everyone NOT to report for work the next day until further notice. The cast and crew were alarmed, but the next day they were reassured that docs declared it was safe to return to the set – but anyone who felt even slightly ill should stay home. We’re betting that germ conscious actors avoided the craft table for awhile.

No one is better prepared for Swine Flu than Michael Jackson. He wore his surgical mask to a doctor’s appointment in Beverly Hills and afterward took his masked kids to the Ed Hardy store on Melrose Avenue. (Michael is rumored to be collaborating on designs for the company) They picked out loads of clothes, but the oddest selection was a tattooed mannikin. An employee loaded it into Michael’s car.
