OK, Now the Cannes Film Festival can REALLY begin. “Twilight” star Rob Pattinson just landed at the Nice airport and fans were ALL over him. He was overwhelmed before he even got to his hotel, where we imagine he had quite a welcoming party.

Robert Pattinson spent this weekend in Los Angeles and he ended up at LAX carrying his own bags for his return to Vancouver. The second half of “New Moon” resumes filming this week. The photogenic “Twilight” star wore his black hoody and black jeans and tried to hide his face but had to take his jacket off, thus revealing his recognizable hair.

Hundreds of kids are lined up outside a Vancouver high school where “New Moon” is filming scenes in the cafeteria. Edward and Bella are back together and Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are cracking jokes and hanging out between shots. It WOULD have been nice if Hollywood had been more financially accommodating so the movie could have been made HERE.

Rob Pattinson kept his best asset covered up when he left “Twilight” costar Kristen Stewart’s birthday party in Vancouver. He might be surprised to learn that more than one aspiring young actor-type turned up at Bryan Rabin’s Diamond Dogs event Thursday night at H.Wood, and they STOLE his look. With hair askew and pasty white skin, the guys turned heads in the rockin’ crowd. We predict a proliferation of Pattinson wanna-bes.

The Twilight cast of “New Moon” is in Vancouver rehearsing and the cast had dinner together at Gotham Steak House and then headed to the hotel bar. Robert Pattinson and Peter Facinelli closed the place down and left around 2:30 AM, looking somewhat the worse for wear.

Hungry for another Robert Pattinson sighting? After his sensational “Twilight “ premier in Tokyo, he was seen having a civilized dinner at The Peninsula hotel. And not a single person in the dining room seemed to be staring at him!

We’re guessing there were plenty of volunteers to hold that umbrella for Robert Pattinson while he signed autographs overtime and in the rain at the premier for his movie “Twilight” in Tokyo. Presumably an experienced bodyguard got the assignment. Hey- is that Paris Hilton waving in the back of the crowd?

It’s starting to look like EVERYTHING’S happening in Tokyo this week! Paris Hilton just arrived with her alleged new boyfriend Doug Reinhardt. If you’ve never heard of him it’s because he appeared on 4 episodes of “The Hills.” Paris is making an appearance for the upscale Samantha Thavesa handbag company in Japan, and she was given two first class tickets so she took Doug instead of an assistant. We’re betting that she will wangle an invitation to the “Twilight” premier there and try to get her paws on Robert Pattinson. She was all over Rob at an Oscar party and told friends she was obsessed with him. Get in line, Paris.

Looking dazed and confused, “Twilight” heartthrob Robert Pattinson arrived at the Tokyo airport and was was mobbed by hundreds of wailing fans. And they haven’t even seen his movie yet! Robert is in town for the gala premier and Kristen Stewart is expected also. Hugh Jackman happened to be on the same flight and even after hosting the Oscars, he was barely acknowledged compared to the “Twilight” star.
