YOU CAN OWN A PAINTING BY SYLVESTER STALLONE

Sylvester Stallone launched a big promotion on Instagram to sell his art for father’s Day. He’s been painting and selling his autographed artwork for decades. Back in the early 90’s he invited us to visit him at his art studio. It was a warehousey-looking place with big canvases all around the room and buckets of paint on the floor. This was at the height of his popularity, and he was thrilled that so many people wanted to buy his paintings. It looked to us like he rather haphazardly slapped paint all over the canvases and he couldn’t believe that people paid “thousands of dollars” for them. (We couldn’t believe it either!) He’s still producing art – now it ranges from $50 for prints to $165,000 for a huge painting. Wonder if these would sell without his autograph…

IRELAND BALDWIN’S CREATIVE JUICES ARE FLOWING…

Celebrities get bored too. Ireland Baldwin and her boyfriend Corey Harper are isolating together at her Los Angeles home and searching for ways to keep themselves occupied. Ireland decided to paint at least one wall of her grey house white, without benefit of a ladder. This is apparently the first step in her plan to paint a mural. So we have THAT to look forward to in future Instagram posts…

THIS WOMAN WENT ON A DATE WITH RYAN O’NEAL?

Ryan O’Neal looks like he’s celebrating winning that 3 year court case with the University of Texas over Farrah Fawcett’s Warhol portrait. Farrah bequeathed her art collection to the University but Ryan refused to give up the Warhol – worth over 12 million dollars. Ryan wept in court and told jurors he “talked” to the painting hanging over his bed. If the jury knew how he treated Farrah and what their relationship was REALLY like, they never would have let him keep the painting. But he put on a good act. And above, he found a young woman willing to go out with him he took her to the Stanley Cup Finals. Now that he’s in the money again he’s apparently more desirable.
