JENNIFER LOPEZ IS HOPPING ON THE GOOP BANDWAGON

Jennifer Lopez wants to turn her rekindled romance with her husband, Ben Affleck, into a business opportunity! Although her recent documentary focused on her and Ben’s second chance of love, an insider reveals that Jen is hoping to monetize their later in life marriage and transform it into a lifestyle brand. Jennifer is developing a website, similar to Ben’s ex-girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow‘s GOOP. Everything will be geared for the 50+ crowd and focus on couples who reconnect. She envisions selling everything from sleepwear to candles, books, to even a signature scent. If all goes according to plan, it should launch before the end of the year.

MEGHAN MARKLE IS INSPIRED BY GWYNETH PALTROW

We previously reported that Meghan Markle was launching her own oddly named brand, American Riviera Orchard, to sell products online that capture the essence of her new hometown of Montecito. Although Meghan has quickly adapted to the Montecito lifestyle since relocating there with her husband Prince Harry, she wasn’t born and raised in the ritzy oceanfront community. She grew up in the working class L.A. suburb of Canoga Park. However, Meghan isn’t content with just an online presence – our source says she’s working with a commercial realtor in the area to open a brick and mortar store. Meghan feels having an actual store (or a few) will strengthen her brand. She got the idea from Gwyneth Paltrow, whose successful online brand, Goop, has several stores, including one in Montecito. Meghan is looking to open her store in the EXACT same area where the Goop store is located.

CAN GWYNETH PALTROW SWIM WITH THE SHARKS?

We’ve always enjoyed watching Shark Tank when it pops up somewhere, but the egotistical guys on the show CAN become rather overbearing. Barbara Corcoran and Lori Greiner are the only female regulars and they make the show much more watchable. SO nice to learn that Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow will be appearing as a guest Shark for the 14th season. In fact, she will be on the September 23 show, which will be LIVE. It’s a smart move for producers to pull in younger and female viewers who can identify with her. Young women need to know how Gwyneth went from actress to mogul and they can certainly use the inspiration. She’s come a long way – from dating Brad Pitt to becoming a businesswoman with 200 million dollars in the bank. Not bad…
