HARRY STYLES LIKES TARGET TOO!

Harry Styles is no stranger to fashion – his recent capsule collection collaboration with Gucci was a huge hit. Now he’s planning to launch something more accessible to his fans. Harry has done pop-up stores in the past and while they were successful, they didn’t reach the masses since the majority of his fans never had the chance to shop. He’s been working on a line of unisex clothing and accessories and Target is front runner for the collaboration. The only sticking point is that while Harry likes the idea that there are so many Targets across the US, he also wants to reach his global fans. So he’s hoping to work out a deal where Target sells the collection in America and other retailers handle the rest of the world.

JANELLE MONAE: THE FEMALE PRINCE?

If you invite Janelle Monae somewhere, you can depend on the fact that she will show up dressed to the tuxedo-inspired max. When it comes to fashion, she never disappoints. We cannot help but compare her to the late flamboyant performer Prince. Both were “dandies.” He was 5’2” and loved the color purple. Janelle is 5’0” and loves black and white. They both indulged in fashion fantasies and their music is both unusual and similar. It so happens Prince collaborated with Janelle on her Dirty Computer album shortly before his death, and she credits him for being an inspiration.

HAILEY BIEBER: IT’S AN L.A.THING

Men usually do this more than women, and it happens more often in Los Angeles. Hailey Bieber is dressed for winter from the waist up and summer from the waist down. She’s wearing a thick fleece jacket with biker shorts – oblivious to the fact that the temperature in West Hollywood is unusually brisk- in the 50’s. maybe that’s why she needed the hot coffee…

KERRY WASHINGTON HAS GOT WHAT IT TAKES

It’s instantly apparent why designers want Kerry Washington to wear and show off their clothes. Unlike Eddie Redmayne, she makes everything look good- including this Ralph Lauren t-shirt creation. And she paired it with her radical new haircut – that not all women could get away with. Kerry is no dummy – the graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors from George Washington University. She’s here promoting her new Netflix film for tweens and teens- The School For Good and Evil. Reviews are not excellent – Hollywood Reporter calls it a “fantasy misfire” – but can you blame her for wanting to please her kids?

TIMOTHEE CHALAMET HAS BECOME THE MALE ZENDAYA

And that is not an insult. Zendaya is the undisputed Darling of the Red Carpet and every designer competes to dress her. Not many men can make that claim, but Timothee Chalamet definitely can. He’s not TOO eccentric (like MGK ) but he’s game for almost anything – skirts and halter tops included. He seems to enjoy being somewhat sexually ambiguous because it’s fashionable now. He does look spectacular at the premier of his film Bones & All in London in this Alexander McQueen white suit and diamond bone necklace by Vivienne Westwood. He and costar Taylor Russell play romantic cannibals in the film, directed by the same Italian director, Luca Guadagnino, who made Timothee a star in Call me by Your Name. In this photo, Timothee looks much more connected to his surroundings than Taylor does…

NEW GENERATION OF PARIS FASHION

Seems like it’s Fashion Week somewhere ALL the time! Now we’re off to Paris and we found a new designer that’s chock full of crazy. Young Victor Weinsanto (he used to work for Gaultier) uses fashion to “have fun in a creative way.” Most of his unusual models are actually friends of his. His runway shows are way more outrageous than the basic clothing he sells in stores. The far-out items are custom made only. Some of his designs make you wonder if he really LIKES women…

PETE DAVIDSON ON THE RED CARPET BEFORE & AFTER KIM KARDASHIAN

Yes, Pete Davidson bent over backwards to live up to then-girlfriend Kim Kardashian’s fashion standards- especially when they went to the Met Gala. He actually put on a suit and tie- although it was loose, and we can catch a glimpse of his stomach tattoo peeking out. He was WAY more comfortable in sweats promoting his new film with Kaley Cuoco called Meet Cute.

A SCARY CHOICE FOR KATIE HOLMES

Now here’s a serious look we’ve never seen on the usually cheery Katie Holmes. Was she influenced by the Kardashians who favor head to toe black? Apparently this is what passes for a party dress these days, because Katie is out on the town during Fashion Week. (BTW, the shoes are all wrong) Still, we’d rather she left this look to the girls who DON’T wanna have fun…

JERRY SEINFELD WOULDN’T BE CAUGHT DEAD IN THIS

Jerry Seinfeld’s debut as a fashion model at the age of 68 has a lot of people puzzled. KITH is a relatively new menswear company promoting streetwear for mature men- not just kids. Sort of a “recently divorced dad” look. Other celebrities of a certain age have modeled for the company – Steve Buscemi and the late Ray Liotta. We happen to think Jerry dressed better on his Seinfeld series and he would never wear these KITH clothes in real life. Can you imagine Jerry in a velour tracksuit? Or a floral embroidered jacket? KITH is pushing “dad fashion” in the wrong direction…
