CHRIS MARTIN UNDERCOVER

Celebrities love winter in Aspen, partly because they can walk around all bundled up for the cold, and are rarely recognized. Coldplay singer Chris Martin took his daughter Apple (her mom is Gwyneth Paltrow) and his girlfriend Dakota Johnson shopping for Christmas, and they were pretty much ignored by other shoppers. Apple is fifteen and typically self-conscious – she gets upset when Gwyneth posts pictures of her without asking. Remember when Apple was born and her unusual name created a sensation? Now it seems perfectly normal! Lucky girl inherited the best traits from both parents…

WHILE GWYNETH STEAMS HER KALE, HUBBY CHRIS CHOMPS ON POTATO CHIPS

Seems like Gwyneth Paltrow is always telling us how to eat with her ever-changing diet ideas. (How SHE became an expert on healthy eating remains a mystery.) We can only imagine how she tortures her family with her food extremes. This month she’s down on carbs and says she won’t feed them to her children – Moses, 6, and Apple, 8, even if they’re very hungry. Lucky for them they have a dad who’s not so rigid. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin was photographed surreptitiously treating the kids to chocolate and potato chips while walking in a London park. This story reminds us of the time Jennifer Aniston was married to Brad Pitt. She had fancy dietetic meals delivered to their house so they could both stay in shape. Brad wasn’t satisfied with spinach and flax seeds, however, and he sneaked out between meals for a snack at In-N-Out Burger.

CHRIS MARTIN IS NOT AS OBNOXIOUS AS WE THOUGHT

We always thought “Coldplay’s” Chris Martin, 34, was a sourpuss with a condescending attitude. He hated the press, resented being photographed, and seemed ungrateful for all his success. In a rare interview with CBS Sunday Morning (whatever THAT is) he actually said something nice about his wife Gwyneth Paltrow and revealed she was his first and only romantic partner. (QUITE a statement from a rock star.) He modestly admitted he felt like a loser who “won the lottery” when he married the Oscar winner. (Despite her debatable flaws, Gwyneth DOES seem like a great mother and wife.) So we readjusted our opinion of Martin – maybe he’s an introvert and not as ungrateful as he seemed to be.
