Chris Rock took his daughter Zahra, who is about to turn 16, out to lunch and shopping in Soho. Rock divorced his wife Malaak in 2015 and admits he was a cheater. It’s interesting that when they broke up Chris moved out of their New Jersey mansion, but NOT to a swinging bachelor pad in the city – he bought another house around the corner so he could be close to his kids and share custody! (Ben Affleck did the same thing when he divorced.) Chris also fought an expensive battle in court to share custody of his three girls. Must be fun to have Chris for a father…

CHRIS IS ROCKING AN UNEXPECTED LOOK

All of a sudden, Chris Rock, 54, has a whole new look! We were fascinated by this pic from an FX network promotional event. Turns out Chris is starring in the next season of the FX series Fargo and it’s set in 1950. It’s all about “immigration and assimilation and the things people do for money.” Rock plays the head of a corrupt Kansas City family struggling to take control of the city away from the Italian crime family. CAN CHRIS ROCK SAVE AN ADAM SANDLER MOVIE?

Adam Sandler and Chris Rock are playing dads in The Week Of, filming in New York, and they certainly LOOK the part. The Netflix movie is a wedding comedy, all about what happens the week before Chris’s son and Sandler’s daughter get married. One good thing- Sandler won’t be able to use his baby voice, we hope. We don’t have much hope for the Adam Sandler script, but you can bet that he and Chris are being overpaid.

EVERYBODY DOESN’T HATE CHRIS ROCK ANY MORE

Chris Rock, 51, seems to be recovering from the mid-life crisis that caused him to split up with Malaak – his wife of 19 years. He’s got a gorgeous new girlfriend, actress Megalyn Echikunwoke, 33, and looks deliriously happy. They met just before he hosted the Oscars in February so she must have been pretty impressed by him. In a way they make the perfect Hollywood couple – she’s an up and coming actress, and he’s only too happy to show her off and introduce her around to his important friends. Right now they’re vacationing in St Tropez.

One of Jennifer Lopez’s costars in “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” has decided to give her a run for the money when it comes to diva behavior. But it’s not Cameron Diaz or Brooklyn Decker– it is, of all people, Chris Rock! A set source told Frank Digiacomo of the Daily News that Chris is the only cast member not shuttled to the set on standard transport- Rock has a special black Escalade for himself and his entourage. His entourage isn’t quite as large as Jennifer’s, but “his hairstylist, makeup artist and bodyguard are always within ten feet of him.” Really. We can imagine down-to-earth Cameron Diaz puzzled by all this “big star behavior.”
