Calista Flockhart

CALISTA FLOCKHART AND HARRISON FORD SURPRISED EVERYONE – EXCEPT LIAM

We thought it would never happen. Calista Flockhart, 45, and Harrison Ford, 67, have been perfectly content together for over 8 years and rumors of an engagement started around 3 years ago but nothing ever happened. We figured they were another Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell – happily unmarried. So their sudden wedding at the Governor’s mansion in New Mexico took everyone by surprise. We’re guessing their adopted son Liam, 9, coaxed them into taking the big step.

SWINE FLU PANIC CLOSED DOWN BROTHERS & SISTERS PRODUCTION

Swine flu finally reared it’s ugly head in Hollywood and naturally everybody panicked- for awhile. Calmer heads eventually prevailed. Last week the cast and crew of Brothers & Sisters, including Sally Field, Rob Lowe, Calista Flockhart, and Rachel Griffiths, received ominous phone calls from the production office telling them that “someone” connected to the show had tested POSITIVE for swine flu, but they refused to identify who it was. The caller told everyone NOT to report for work the next day until further notice. The cast and crew were alarmed, but the next day they were reassured that docs declared it was safe to return to the set – but anyone who felt even slightly ill should stay home. We’re betting that germ conscious actors avoided the craft table for awhile.

Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart: Seven years later they are still together and happily unmarried. (Several magazines have touted their “engagements” and “wedding dates” over the years.) And they’re looking good at the Aviation Awards Ceremony. They were #10 on Forbes magazine’s list of top earning couples in Hollywood. Together they took home 22 million dollars.

Talk about last minute! Harrison Ford paid a visit to Barneys in Beverly Hills today and he’s not exactly a regular shopper there. He was on a mission – to find birthday gifts for his longtime love, Calista Flockhart. Her birthday is Tuesday, November 11, and even though Harrison was a last minute shopper, he picked the right place to do it.

HARRISON FORD IS A HERO AT HOME, NOT JUST AT THE MOVIES

Harrison Ford was right where you’d expect to find him on Father’s Day – at his son Ben’s restaurant Ford’s Filling Station in Culver City. And, of all the cute things – Ford was wearing a Father’s Day T shirt made by Calista’s little boy Liam. It said “The Best Dad in the World.” Awhile back, Ford announced his intention to adopt Liam and may have already done so. Harrison has four grown children from his first two wives.

HARRISON FORD HAS A SURPRISE FOR SOME LUCKY KID

We love this picture of Harrison Ford carrying a stack of Indiana Jones toys. He’s got action figures of himself and a Mr Potato Head Indiana Jones character toy. They’re probably intended for seven year old Liam, the little boy that he has adopted with Calista Flockhart. The new Indiana Jones movie has been getting some mediocre buzz, but we still predict a lot of people will go see it for old times sake. And when was the last time you saw Karen Allen?

HARRISON FORD AND CALISTA FLOCKHART: STARTING TO LOOK ALIKE

fordcut_276x450.jpgHarrison “Indiana Jones” Ford and Calista Flockhart of Brothers & Sisters are celebrating five years of engaged bliss. They’re not married and apparently in no hurry to tie the knot. (Could it have something to do with the fact that Ford’s divorce from Melissa Mathison was called “the most expensive in the history of Hollywood?” These two, who were both born in Illinois, appear to be genuinely happy and the 22 year age difference just doesn’t seem to matter – they even dress alike.

ALL IN THE FAMILY

According to a coworker on the Brothers & Sisters set, the feud between Calista Flockhart and Rachel Griffiths is still simmering. Ally McBeal star Calista considers herself to be the star of the show. Rachel figures since she’s also a movie star, she is top dog. “Calista thinks nothing of demanding that a scene full of people be reshot to feature her GOOD side instead of her bad side. And Calista is ALWAYS yakking on her cell phone- that’s frowned upon on he set.” It’s one-upmanship. To get even, “Rachel is a pain in the ass because she’s always the LAST one on the set when the director is ready to start a scene (the biggest star is traditionally last to be called) and she keeps EVERYONE waiting.” Rachel might also be a bit peeved because she’s six years YOUNGER than Calista and plays her OLDER sister.
