Bobby Brown The New Edition

BOBBY BROWN IS EARNING MONEY AGAIN

Now that Bobby Brown has been cleared of introducing Whitney Houston to drugs – all is more or less forgiven. Last year’s BET movie The New Edition Story was surprisingly successful and launched the idea of the group touring again. Three of the original New Edition members are already successful as Bell Biv DeVoe, and Bobby Brown has been touring solo, so they put whatever differences they had aside, and joined up – they call the new group RBRM, combining their initials. That means four out of the original six New Edition guys are back together. It’s their prerogative…

ANGELINA JOLIE STILL WEARS BLACK ALL SUMMER

Angelina Jolie took her four youngest kids to the movies this weekend – the two older boys, Maddox and Pax had other things to do. Somehow Angelina always gets photographed when she’s out with her family, but Brad is rarely seen with his children. Brad is currently filming in LA and has permission to spend more time with the kids. Maddox and Pax still refuse to see their father, but the younger four pictured here, are fine visiting with Brad.

There’s SO much filming activity in Hollywood lately that actors have never been busier – Renee Zellweger, 49, has had one job after another. She recently finished playing Judy Garland in Judy, and now she’s signed to do a Netflix morality series called What/If. The series studies the ripple effect of what can happen if a decent person makes just one bad decision. Last we heard, Renee is still with her musician boyfriend of 6 years, Doyle Bramhall II. She was embarrassed last year when Bramhall’s divorce revealed that Renee was financially supporting him, including paying his credit card bills. Janet Jackson had us worried when she was married to Wissam Al Mana and photographed draped in black from head to toe like a nun. Was she going to hide behind burkas for the rest of her life? Luckily, no, but she seems to have changed her style quite a bit. Janet used to love sexy fashion, but now she seems to have gotten into the habit of wearing more and bigger clothing. These gigantic pants are a good example of the “bigger” and the leather shirt with sleeves rolled up (in the summer) is “more.” She’s also sporting the very tight pulled-back hair popularized by Ariana Grande. IT’S RAINY DAYS FOR WOODY ALLEN

Woody Allen, 82, is walking in New York with his wife Soon-Yi and he has a lot to ponder. Everyone is perplexed about his film A Rainy Day in New York. Inspired by #MeToo, the film’s stars Timothee Chalamet, Selena Gomez and Elle Fanning donated their salaries to women’s causes. The story is about college kids, but it includes a middle aged man, Jude Law, who has affairs with much younger women, even a 15 year old. Amazon may or may not release the movie. He must feel abandoned. It’s sad, we do love Woody’s movies, but he may have trouble casting his next film – if there is another.

To be honest, we are floored by the notion that Kanye West is now designing women’s shoes – AND that people are BUYING them! Everything Kanye knows about women’s shoes he has undoubtedly learned from his wife and her sisters. Rather limited experience. Sneakers are one thing – how wrong can you go with those? But Kanye is putting his name on high heels and we can’t help but laugh. His collection is dominated by PVC plastic and Eva Longoria wore a pair out last night and she was surprised to find them fogging up from the heat. Her feet don’t look that happy either….
