One of the biggest stories of the week was the history making all female space flight carrying Lauren Sanchez, Katy Perry, Gayle King and others. The Blue Origin mission, which is owned by Lauren’s fiance, Jeff Bezos, generated a ton of backlash with celebrities such as Olivia Wilde, condemning the trip as pointless and an affront to the environment. We just heard that Lauren leaned on some of her celebrity pals, like Jessica Alba to defend the trip, but the bad press continues – so now it’s fellow space traveler Gaye’s best friend, Oprah Winfrey, to the rescue. Gayle is arranging for the entire female crew to sit down with Oprah and explain why the trip was beneficial. The interview should air soon, but only time will tell if it silences the naysayers.
Cheryl Hines made headlines when she was blatantly snubbed by her husband RFK Jr.’s boss, Donald Trump, when they all attended the UFC 314 match in Miami last Saturday. The moment of a shocked and disappointed Cheryl extending her hand and getting ignored by Trump went viral, and here’s what we know. Cheryl was VERY upset with her husband for not defending her honor, since he just shrugged off the snub as an accidental misstep. Our source says Cheryl has seen a side to her husband she just doesn’t like, but since he’s a part of Trump’s cabinet she’s decided to play the role of a Stepford wife to enjoy the benefits of being married to someone powerful in DC. Behind closed doors though, the marriage is shaky.
Former President Joe Biden made the news for his first public speaking engagement since leaving the White House. We just heard that the powers that be in the Democratic Party are urging him to NOT make this a habit since they are eager to move in a new ( younger) direction. My source says that Joe is being encouraged to STOP speaking in public and to limit any comments to pre-taped announcements, since his live speech was riddled with awkward pauses.
Bill Maher made the news for having dinner at the White House with Donald Trump and we just heard that’s only the beginning! Remember where you read this – Bill invited Trump to appear on his HBO weekly show, Real Time, and Trump said YES. Although the details are still being hashed out, there’s nothing more that Trump likes more than an audience, and Bill has a large one at that, so it’s gonna happen this year.
Ben Affleck made the news when he gushed about his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez on the red carpet for his film, The Accountant 2. Ben sang Jen’s praises as both a mom to her kids and a stepmom to his kids, and now we know why. Jen’s child Emma and Ben’s child Fin are best friends, and both prefer to wear men’s clothing although biologically female. The two are so close that they are already planning to attend college together since they’re barely a year apart and see each other almost daily, so despite the divorce Jen and Ben will be linked for a while.
Blake Lively was in the headlines again after a storyboard editor on their movie , It Ends with Us, claimed she tried to hijack the movie from producer Justin Baldoni. She also made headlines after Time magazine named her one of their 100 Most Influential People. Despite the ying and yang of bad and good press we know this. Blake was up for a role in an upcoming rom/com but her audition was abruptly cancelled at the last minute because of all the negative press. She and her husband Ryan Reynolds are painfully aware that they opened a hornet’s nest with her lawsuit against Justin – especially since public opinion seems to have drastically turned against her. They are seriously thinking about relocating overseas for a while until the drama is over.
HAPPY SPRING BREAK TO ALL!
