Every time we see a photo of 85 year old Woody Allen, it makes us sad. The documentary Allen v Farrow seemed to seal his fate and we’re not entirely sure it was fair. This is a man who LIVED to make movies. And for the most part, we really enjoyed them. We are still not sure he was guilty of inappropriately touching his adopted daughter Dylan, when she was 7. Certainly Mia Farrow was highly motivated to enhance this claim. It’s strange that when this story surfaced, NO OTHER people came forward with similar claims against Woody. A child molester who does it only once is rare indeed. So far, Woody has not been given the opportunities to make films in Europe that Roman Polanski enjoys- and Polanski admitted he had sex with a 13 year old. Such a sad situation…

Like him or not, he is talented.
Janet, you never miss a chance to protect adult men with child sex abuse proclivities. Why is that?
Mia and Woody were in the midst of a nasty NASTY breakup when all of this happened. Mia told Woody she was going to do something bad to him. The alleged incident took place over a 20-minute period when Mia was out w/ a friend and the other kids were all home. When she did come home, she and Woody went out for a nice dinner. C’mon!!! Also, as you pointed out, if someone is into this kind of behavior, it NEVER happens ONLY ONCE. Woody is telling the truth. I do feel sorry for Dylan because she does believe it occurred.
It says something about society that it will do the cancel thing on somebody who was investigated, fairly exonerated, and never had any charges against them. And that it won’t do so to a psycho who brainwashes her daughter into believe she was molested.
I like Woody’s movies. I’m glad he got the girl in the end.
I’m Team Woody all the way. Hell hath no fury like a Farrow scorned.
Shame on you Janet, and anyone else here using the number of accusers of Woody Allen as a means of determining guilt or innocence. That’s not logic, it’s ignorance and stupidity. And a creep is a creep, regardless of talent. Poor Woody?? Please.
A better story for this photo could be:
Now that whatever looks he had are gone, Woody Allen will probably keep gripping his wife’s hands tightly because where else could he go? Who else will take care of this aging, neurotic who has enough evidence against him to put him in jail for sexual assault involving a minor?
All of these comments, as he holds the hand and is married to his stepdaughter.
…I mean to say his “adopted” daughter. Regardless, “daughter” is in the foundation definition of their relationship.
Karma is right. There’s a pattern here – he molested one and married another. And, btw, has anyone interviewed Soon Yi? Is it true that she is developmentally disabled with a child-like IQ?
You’re right Janet…this was a scam by an enraged Mia. Allen was giving her a lot of money for years and that was going to disappear when he got involved with Soon-Yi. Nothing was ever proven.
https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2014/02/woody-allen-sex-abuse-10-facts
1. Mia never went to the police about the allegation of sexual abuse
2.Allen had been in therapy for alleged inappropriate behavior toward Dylan with a child psychologist before the abuse allegation was presented to the authorities or made public.
3. Allen refused to take a polygraph administered by the Connecticut state police
4.Allen subsequently lost four exhaustive court battles—a lawsuit, a disciplinary charge against the prosecutor, and two appeals—and was made to pay more than $1 million in Mia’s legal fees.
5.In his 33-page decision, Judge Wilk found that Mr. Allen’s behavior toward Dylan was “grossly inappropriate and that measures must be taken to protect her
6.Dylan’s claim of abuse was consistent with the testimony of three adults who were present that day
7.. The Yale-New Haven Hospital Child Sex Abuse Clinic’s finding that Dylan had not been sexually molested, cited repeatedly by Allen’s attorneys, was not accepted as reliable by Judge Wilk, or by the Connecticut state prosecutor who originally commissioned them
8.Allen changed his story about the attic where the abuse allegedly took place
9. The state attorney, Maco, said publicly he did have probable cause to press charges against Allen but declined, due to the fragility of the child
10.I am not a longtime friend of Mia Farrow’s, and I did not make any deal with her. I have been personally
and to top it off allen had the nerve to say he acted “PATERNAL” towards soon yi and she responded …paternal means FATHER he acted as a father to her he GROOMED her……. the link has extra info to the 10 items i posted above
at the bottom of the page at that link is another link with the 33 page scathing decision from the judge that presided over the case
Karma,
Soon-Yi was NOT the adopted daughter of WOODY ALLEN. She was one of the many children Mia Farrow adopted and then abused or neglected. Woody and Mia never lived together and Woody and Soon-Yi never lived together either until she was over 21 and their adult relationship began. He was never a “father” to her.
Woody seems to be sporting a woody in this picture just from holding Soon-Yi’s hands!
Diane Keaton said that WOODY ALLEN had a “great body.” She did not go into specifics.
Strom and Dan.
Like two peas in a pod.
dandan here is the direct quote from woody…yes he never adopted soon yi “I’m 35 years older, and somehow, through no fault of mine or hers, the dynamic worked,” Allen told film critic Sam Fragoso. “I was paternal. She responded to someone paternal. I liked her youth and energy. She deferred to me, and I was happy to give her an enormous amount of decision-making just as a gift and let her take charge of so many things. She flourished. It was just a good-luck thing.”
do you get it??? PATERNAL means father he acted as a father to her and she responded………it means he groomed her
susan,
The same dynamic worked for Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall. Frank Sinatra was 30 years older than his third wife, Mia Farrow. It is not that unusual a dynamic. We even have an expression for a woman who seeks out an older man as a romantic partner. “Daddy issues.” Is it unusual that Woody married the adopted (and neglected) daughter of a woman with whom he had a long term relationship? It is statistically unusual. Is there anything illegal or even irreligious about it? No. Has their marriage worked? Yes. Has Mia Farrow dedicated her life to malicious revenge? Yes.
Dan Dan is right, Mia has only revenge on her mind. Get over it.
