Johnny Depp arrived in Japan to promote his new Pirates of the Caribbean movie, but you’d never guess it by his attire. He’s in full-on rock n’ roll mode and appears far more interested in a career as a musician than an actor. Japanese fans don’t care which Johnny they get – they just want more of him.

Last time we saw Lily-Rose Depp she was a shy little girl ducking the paparazzi. Suddenly she’s bursting with CONFIDENCE! She’s only 5’3” but she’s actually a working model and ambassador for Chanel fragrances. Her father Johnny Depp introduced her to acting three years ago and in 2016 she finished three movies, so she’s on her way. Too bad she had to drop out of high school to do it. Lily has a boyfriend she’s seen with often, but identifies herself as “on the LGBTQ spectrum.”

We can’t stop thinking about Forbes list of The Most Overpaid Actors in Hollywood. Specifically the actors whose films didn’t make enough money to justify their absurd salaries. Here’s the list if you haven’t seen it:

Our first thought is sad – only one female is on the list, emphasizing the fact that women are grossly underpaid in Hollywood.
Our second thought was: is this an EMBARRASSMENT or an ACCOMPLISHMENT for those on the list? Are the massively overpaid actors secretly thrilled at getting those huge undeserved salaries or disappointed at their boxoffice failures? It could go either way, but we’re betting they’re proud to be on the list. One thing for sure- these actors’ agents are bragging all over the office!

One thing about Johnny Depp – he’s always heavily accessorized – it must take him awhile to get dressed in the morning. He’s been drowning his divorce sorrows by playing music with Alice Cooper and enjoying the rock world. Depp’s next project is a remake of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express. Director Kenneth Branagh plays the role of detective Hercule Poirot that Albert Finney played in the 1974 version. Michelle Pfeiffer has the role Lauren Bacall originated, and Johnny plays Richard Widmark’s role as the murder victim with a lot of enemies.

What better way to escape a bitter divorce than go on the road with musician buddies and enjoy all the rock star perks? Johnny Depp appears to be having a great time playing with The Hollywood Vampires and the band is drawing big crowds. They play a lot of music celebrating rockstars who are now dead – mostly from excess. That’s where the band’s name comes from. It has always been Johnny’s dream to be a musician – not an actor. It’s hard to tell if he’s a good guitar player, but he’s the one all the girls’ phones are focused on. (Above the Hollywood Vampires rocked out on the Coney Island boardwalk.)

One of Johnny Depp’s exes has so far been conspicuously silent when it comes to standing up for his character and swearing he’s not violent. Kate Moss was 20 and Johnny was 31 when they met and started a wild four year fling. Kate was fond of alcohol and cocaine and Johnny happily went along for the ride. They were known as the drugged up boozed up glamour couple of the 90’s. Tempestuous arguments and trashing of hotel rooms were the norm. When the volatile relationship finally imploded, Kate went off to rehab and Johnny found Vanessa Paradis.

Now you know exactly what was “eating” Johnny Depp. His divorce will reveal that his life is a shambles thanks to his alcohol abuse. When he was living in he South of France he developed a taste for wine in a big way. He even had his own winery. After his divorce from Vanessa Paradis, his drinking increased and he showed up at several events half out of his mind and looking bloated. His rock n’ roll buddies did nothing to discourage his substance abuse and his young bride Amber Heard probably didn’t realize the depth of his problem. She comes out of the messy divorce with a much higher career profile so it’s all good for her. We believe Amber’s claim that he roughed her up because alcoholics are not gentle. But we still love Johnny, and hope he can pull himself together with some help.

Hey, it’s big news when Johnny Depp updates his hairstyle with a new undercut. His hair is very cool, but he doesn’t look particularly happy in this photo of him arriving at the Jimmy Kimmel show. He’s busy promoting his new movie Alice Through the Looking Glass in which he plays another crackpot character- the Mad Hatter. We’d like to see him in a film aimed at adults, for a change.

It turned out to be a bigger deal than we realized when Amber Heard brought their two Yorkies, Pistol and Boo, along on a visit to Johnny Depp , while he was filming in Australia. Amber arrived on a private plane and no one was aware that the dogs were with her until the pups were brought to a salon for grooming. Their beauty visit got a lot of publicity and that’s how Amber got in trouble for smuggling them into the country and breaking quarantine laws. Amber and Johnny had to fly back this week and appear in court today where she pleaded guilty. Her sentence remains to be seen, but the famous pair looked quite confident.

It’s not often that you get a close look at Johnny Depp’s almost fourteen year old son John Christopher Depp (AKA Jack,) and this is about as good as it gets because he usually keeps his head way down. He DOES look a lot like his dad and that’s obviously a good thing. Of course, his mom Vanessa Paradis is no slouch in the looks department, as is illustrated by her pretty lookalike daughter Lily-Rose, 16. Interesting that teen actress Lily-Rose is dating a man 8 years older. He’s English model Ash Stymest, a divorced father of a four year old daughter. Ash and Lily Rose were seen at LAX with Jack and Vanessa.
