WILL THE REAL ELLEN DEGENERES PLEASE STAND UP!

We were as surprised as you are to hear about the “toxicity” on the set of the Ellen Degeneres show. But we were even MORE surprised to note that TMZ has never written a negative word about the Ellen or her show, despite the fact that they MUST have seen this coming! BuzzFeed totally eclipsed TMZ with this scoop and we can tell you why. TMZ and Ellen are both Warner Bros shows, so apparently TMZ was “discouraged” from writing negative info about Ellen. It’s the same kind of intimidation that makes employees afraid to report their bosses, and women afraid to accuse powerful men of crimes. Insiders say powerful Ellen is NOT the nice person she appears to be on TV. We applaud Brad Garrett for being the ONLY celebrity courageous enough to speak the truth about Ellen – of course he’s now blackballed from her show!

ANNE HECHE AND THOMAS JANE: MADE FOR EACH OTHER?

Here’s a couple we can enjoy seeing together. They both have interesting histories. Anne Heche, 49, and Thomas Jane, 50, costarred on HBO’s Hung as a divorced couple. Jane played an underpaid Detroit schoolteacher who became a male prostitute for the money. Jane also implied that he had done some real-life hustling of his own as a teen in Hollywood. (We had heard that rumor and were delighted when he owned up to it.) Anne had a notorious crazy-time romance with Ellen DeGeneres that ended badly. Anne and Thomas (both are now divorced with kids) were longtime friends – they started holding hands a few months ago, and now it’s a full-blown romance.

They got married over nine years ago and still act like newlyweds. Ellen and Portia are happily shopping in West Hollywood, but they had a close call a few days ago. They recently bought a beachfront house in Carpenteria, California, and on Monday the raging fires came so close they had to evacuate their cats and dogs – and move into another one of their homes. Luckily, their house was spared so they have a lot to celebrate…

This is Edgar. He suddenly became a celebrity Sunday night when he delivered pizza to Ellen Degeneres and the star-studded Oscar audience. Edgar says he had no idea what he was getting into, and that Ellen has ordered from his pizza parlor several times before. Edgar enjoyed his unexpected notoriety and Big Mama’s and Papa’s Pizzeria (Sunset location) has already posted photos of their Oscar triumph. (Click HERE to see them) We bet their phone is ringing off the hook today. One question remains: Did Edgar ever get that big tip from Harvey Weinstein?

You can’t help but love this photo of Ellen Degeneres at her high school prom in all her 70’s glory. That plaid dress might look a bit Amish if it wasn’t provocatively unbuttoned. The most telling feature of this photo is the fact that her date is SO good looking. She must have been really popular to land such a handsome guy. He somewhat resembles a young Christopher Reeve. We missed it when she recreated the photo on her show a few years ago she wore a replica dress and brought back her date.

TROUSDALE ESTATES: ELLEN DEGENERES GOT IT RIGHT THIS TIME




What can we say about the Trousdale Estates area of Beverly Hills, except that it might be the most important neighborhood in California for anyone who loves mid-century modern architecture. We wouldn’t think of missing an open house or estate sale in Trousdale, just so we can drool over the house close up. According to the RealEstalker, Ellen DeGeneres has finally bought a house we really envy. She paid over 17 million for an 8500 sq ft 4 bed, 6 bath, Hal Levitt masterpiece built in 1958. (Jennifer Aniston’s last house was also a Hal Levitt design.) Famed decorator Kelly Wearstler redid the interior to the max before selling to Ellen at a hefty profit.

SAME SEX MARRIAGE? NO PROBLEM IN ARCHIE’S RIVERDALE

One Million Moms, the conservative group which already made fools of themselves boycotting JCPenny for hiring Ellen as spokesperson, has found another target. According to The Daily What, the group is calling for a boycott of Toys R Us because the chain stocks the Archie comic featuring a same sex marriage! These “moms” look more ridiculous every day!

ELLEN AND PORTIA’S DOGS ARE VEGAN TOO

Not only are Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi both vegans, but they have cats and a dogs at home that are vegans also. Feeding themselves is not difficult, especially since they are opening a vegan restaurant in the San Fernando Valley on Ventura Blvd. Finding appropriate pet food with no animal byproducts is not as easy. So now Ellen and Portia are looking into coming out with a complete line of vegan pet food.

PORTIA SAYS ELLEN IS WAY TOO AMBITIOUS – SHE WANTS OPRAH’S CROWN

Ellen DeGeneres is obsessed with the idea of becoming the #1 talk show host now that Oprah is off the air. Ellen’s wife Portia de Rossi, however is not so thrilled with Ellen’s ambition. Besides working on her daily show, Ellen constantly has other projects that take up most of her spare time. She has so many work commitments that Portia feels left out – they can rarely even plan a vacation together. Portia would LOVE it if Ellen would leave the show when her contract is up and semi-retire, but it’s doubtful that Ellen can resist the lure of becoming the new Oprah.
