Has anybody else noticed that Christina Aguilera seems to get better looking every year but her husband Jordan Bratman DOESN’T? He’s certainly no beauty, so we suppose he must be a real sweetheart and the perfect man for her. She’s obviously crazy about him and at least she doesn’t have to worry about other women hitting on her husband.
Mark Wahlberg is feeling the heat. Just when he thought his life was perfect there’s a wrench in the works. He and his longtime girlfriend Rhea Durham and their two children Ella, 3, and Michael,1, have been living together in the big house he bought in Beverly Hills – in unmarried bliss. Rhea loves the house but it turns out she’s not happy – she wants a wedding ring. Mark is content the way things are. Rhea has talked about moving out with the kids and even dropped a few hints about “palimony” if Mark doesn’t want to get married. Wahlberg is squirming under the pressure and he’s particularly annoyed because many of his friends are saying “Rhea’s right – you SHOULD get married!”
Marilyn Manson has done a lot of bragging about his new CD “Eat Me, Drink Me” so we were surprised to learn that he’ll be making a personal appearance at the Hot Topic chain store at The Block – a modest outdoor mall in Orange County. The clothing store is advertising that Manson will be there in person signing CD’s on Friday, May 18, and giving away heart shaped sunglasses like his girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood wears. This seems like a significant step down – magnified by the fact that there’s a Virgin record store just a stone’s throw away. Marilyn Manson fans should check to see if he’s coming to a Hot Topic store in THEIR neighborhood.
Has anybody else noticed that Paris Hilton has changed her facial expression in photographs since she was given a jail sentence? Before, she used to smile or have that little smirk when cameras got her, but someone must have advised her NOT to look like she’s happy or frivolous or having a good time. In fact, she’s forced herself to look very serious or even sad, as if she’s filled with regret. Cuddling puppies also makes her seem like a nicer person. Looks like she wants our sympathy.

Kim Kardashian worked up an appetite getting a pedicure in Beverly Hills, so she and Louis Vuitton lapped up a frozen yogurt. Incidentally, we hear she still hooks up with her video partner Ray J, every once in awhile….
Drum roll, please! It’s time for the first annual JCH Hot Air Awards for celebrity magazines. This year, Life & Style is the big winner for the FAKEST headlines of the year. While it IS gossip, and everyone gets it wrong SOMETIMES, Life & Style gets it wrong week after week! For example:

Apparently, Life & Style is convinced Angie and Brad are splitting and Brad’s going back to Jen. Hey, it’s NOT happening! Angelina and Brad are perfectly happy, and Jen and Brad DO NOT SPEAK! And surprise, surprise, Angelina and Jen have NO desire to communicate either. Need we say more?
Jude Law was shopping at The Grove recently with his son Rafferty,10, and they were browsing the electronics and video games. Rafferty pounced on several items he wanted but Jude told him “No – pick just one thing.” Rafferty said he wanted three and Jude said evenly “One more chance.” Still, Rafferty insisted on three. So Jude patiently explained to Rafferty that HE is the father and Rafferty should listen to him and do as he says. They left the store with nothing. Jude has told friends that it’s difficult – but he’s determined that his kids won’t grow up spoiled like so many Hollywood children. Judging by this photo, Rafferty is going to grow up DANGEROUSLY good looking.
The Rock & Republic jean company didn’t realize what they started when they invited Victoria Beckham to design her VB line of denims for them. Posh finally found something she LOVED to do, and her design aspirations have multiplied. Her years with R&R were very successful, but now she’s breaking away and starting her own fashion empire with David. The newly named DVB will start with jeans and clothing and quickly move into accessories like sunglasses, and even items for the home. There’s no end to the possibilities. (Interesting how Jennifer Lopez has volunteered to try out styles to make sure Posh’s jeans fit girls curvier than the designer.) Victoria and David are having a big party at Kitson to introduce their new collection this summer.
