We are among those who think Borat was the smartest, funniest, and most original movie EVER. Borat’s hilarious psychological torment of well-meaning Americans is genius. And hard to live up to. Sacha Baron Cohen’s movies have been gradually becoming less interesting. The Brothers Grimsby has been publicized to death by the energetic Cohen, to no avail. Why? Because Cohen LOST HIS FEMALE AUDIENCE. His comedy degenerated from Borat’s brilliant satire on politically correct behavior to raunchy bathroom humor aimed at the teenage boy audience of Adam Sandler. Not to mention the fact that Grimsby is all about sports, action, and guns. Sacha Baron Cohen lost his most faithful core audience – women. As it turns out, the girls AND the boys went to see 10 Cloverfield Lane…

The Big Bang Theory costars quietly dated for real from 2008 to 2010. Not long ago Kaley split up with her husband of three years, Ryan Sweeting. If you happen to love smart science fiction thrillers – RUN, DO NOT WALK to the nearest theater to see 10 Cloverfield Lane. And DO NOT read a word about it before you see it! We will not reveal any spoilers here because that would be a crime. The less you know about this movie the more you will enjoy it! What we CAN say is that it is full of surprises and a few real shockeroos. For once, a sci-fi movie that isn’t loaded with clichés. It is a perfectly cast, cleverly written gem. Take our word for it, you are going to LOVE this unexpectedly original movie!

Janet Jackson arrived at LAX and she twisted herself up in a very peculiar way, attempting to cover her hair. What’s going on? No matter – what counts is that she’s back in town and she’s appearing at the Hollywood Bowl on May 21. That’s a good sign. After all those mysterious health rumors and concert cancellations it’s nice to have her back.

They don’t make ‘em any cuter than Selena Gomez, but she never seems to be as happy as she SHOULD be. But she keeps busy. She arrived in Paris for Fashion Week yesterday and she’s already been trapped in an elevator and had a wardrobe malfunction. Paris journalists are delighted to see that Selena has been changing her clothes four times a day. Her love life should be amazing but she seems to be haunted by her past relationship with Justin Beieber.

Look who’s in the front row at the Chanel show in Paris! It’s Jada Pinkett Smith and her daughter Willow, who’s fifteen now. It’s hard to believe Willow released her hit “Whip My Hair” six years ago. Jada looks very fashionable with her sleek bobbed hair and Willow obviously LOVES fashion – she’s wearing a stretchy jumpsuit with Karl Lagerfeld’s favorite gloves, Chanel boots, and her nose ring.

Say what you will about Woody Allen, he’s a brilliant writer and filmmaker and at the age of 80 is not slowing down. He made a deal with Amazon to create his first series and last year he was fretting that it was a “catastrophic mistake.” But things appear to be coming together – he cast Miley Cyrus as one character and it could be a huge career break for her. Above, Woody and comic actress Elaine May, 83, are filming a scene for the untitled project set in the 1960’s, and it makes one wonder if HIS character will be paired with an age appropriate woman for a change.
