OLIVIA NEWTON JOHN: THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES

Olivia Newton John always held a special place in my heart because of her role in Grease. Grease was written by a guy who grew up in a Chicago suburb like the one I grew up in. In high school there were two groups – the Greasers and the Ivy League style kids. The Greasers had oily pompadours and sinister black leather jackets. The Ivy Leaguers wore penny loafers and v-neck sweaters. Greaser girls wore tight clothes and more make-up. Greasers were less likely to go to college, but they were definitely sexier. Grease, the play, opened in a small theater in Chicago and was SUCH a hit, it was on Broadway the following year – despite the raunchy and politically incorrect dialogue. That’s where I saw it and fell in love. In the film version Olivia Newton John was the perfect Sandy Dumbrowski – and she will always be remembered for that- and the fact that I never heard a negative piece of gossip about her.

CHLOE LATTANZI: HOPELESSLY DEVOTED TO COSMETIC SURGERY

We just HAD to laugh when we heard that Olivia Newton John’s attention-seeking daughter Chloe Lattanzi is opposed to vaccines and science based medicine. She prefers “natural” medicines. In her social media posts, she also supports conspiracy theories about the Covid pandemic. Australian fans of Olivia were appalled and made fun of Chloe, saying “She doesn’t trust doctors- but she spent $550.000 on plastic surgery! Chloe has showbiz aspirations and she had numerous surgeries on her nose, lips, and breast augmentation among other things. Chloe, 34, is now running a cannabis farm in Oregon with her boyfriend. She was SO attacked online for her medical opinions that she removed her comments.

OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN WILL ALWAYS BE SANDY TO SOME OF US

It’s been awhile since we saw Olivia Newton-John look this happy! She performed, along with KD Lang, at the Fire Fight concert in Sydney to raise money for her fire devastated country. Olivia, 71, says she had an encouraging MRI recently and that “things are shrinking.” The Grease star is still battling Stage 4 cancer but is determined to think positive and her husband of 12 years, John Easterling, keeps her motivated. Olivia recommends cannabis for pain and her daughter Chloe owns a cannabis farm in Oregon.

OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN’S DAUGHTER CHLOE IS NO CHIP OFF THE OLD BLOCK

“Grease” good girl Olivia Newton-John has always had a clean cut innocent image in Hollywood. She was a natural, fresh faced beauty. So it’s startling to see her with her aspiring actress daughter Chloe Lattanzi,30, who looks nothing like her mom. In fact, Chloe is dressed more like a stripper in training than a starlet. To put it mildly, she seems to have had some work done – she’s attractive, but not exactly natural looking. Olivia showed up for the premier of Syfy’s movie “Dead 7” in which Chloe has a role. She’s a supportive mom, no matter what.

WAYNE NEWTON’S IDEA OF FESTIVE ATTIRE

Wayne Newton and Olivia Newton-John (no relation) turned up at a cheerful holiday charity event in Las Vegas this weekend. Olivia looks cute in her red coat and Santa hat, but Wayne looks strangely serious all in black. We’re always jarred by Wayne’s jet black helmet hair. Does he think it looks natural? He’s one of the few heterosexual men we know who’s had a LOT of work done and doesn’t admit it.

OLIVIA NEWTON JOHN: THIS WAS YOUR LIFE!

It must feel WEIRD to come face to face with a life size version of yourself in 1978, but Olivia Newton John, 65, made the best of it. To the delight of tourists, Olivia showed up at Madame Tussaud’s Hollywood Wax Museum in Las Vegas to welcome her own wax figure to the collection. The wax Olivia was dressed up in spandex and leather as Sandy – her much-loved character from Grease that inspired so many young girls.

OH NO! JOHN TRAVOLTA IS DOING IT AGAIN!

Last year John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John surprised us all with their holiday album “This Christmas.” Their singing duets from the 1978 movie Grease had been a huge success so they decided to try it again. The awkward album debuted to mixed reviews (described as “schmaltz,” “train wreck,” and in other unflattering terms.) The only video from the CD (below) is equally weird and suspiciously Scientological. Anyway, John is apparently undaunted by these minor setbacks, and is now aiming to release a pop CD of his own!

OLIVIA NEWTON LIVES HAPPILY EVER AFTER

Olivia Newton John and her husband John Easterling are making a happy departure at LAX. They divide their time between her place in Malibu and his home in Florida where his business, the Amazon Herb Co, is located. Before she married John, Olivia was shocked when her boyfriend of nine years, cameraman Patrick McDermott “disappeared” off a fishing boat. He is suspected of living in Mexico in disguise and faking his own death to avoid money problems. He did Olivia a favor when he got lost.
