Kim Kardashian walked out of her New York hotel fully prepared for the mob of paparazzi waiting outside. She’s wearing a $3000 Balenciaga oversize distressed brown wool coat with huge shoulders and no buttons- it’s itchy but not at all warm. She paired the coat with $2000 Balenciaga denim print thigh boots. Looks like she’s got some kind of deal with the designer. If you happen to like either of these items, they will probably be available soon at the Kardashian Kloset online resale store for a discounted (but still expensive) price…

WILL CARDI B HAVE DICK CLARK SPINNING IN HIS GRAVE?

Cardi B had a surprising business-like look in New York today, where she’s gearing up to host the American Music Awards. In fact, this is the first time we’ve seen her in a sensible suit. She’s definitely a wild choice to host the awards because she has zero experience. AMA producers figure that her crazy reputation will have lots of new viewers tuning in and give the show a much-needed boost in ratings. Question is: will she follow the script? (We doubt it!) She’s also nominated for Favorite Hip Hop Artist and Song – will she be a sore loser? Will she pronounce everybody’s names right? SO many possibilities… the fun show airs November 21.

FRENCH MONTANA BECAME THE WEEKND FOR A NIGHT

Another sensible low budget Halloween costume – this one pokes fun at The Weeknd. All French Montana needed were some drugstore bandages and a flashy jacket that he already had in his closet. Meanwhile, the Weeknd invested a whole lot of time with an amazing makeup artist to make him look like Marlon Brando as The Godfather. He even had little brown age spots – it’s worth looking for a photo (we couldn’t afford one.)

LIL REL HOWERY WAS RYAN REYNOLDS FOR HALLOWEEN

Lil Rel Howery gets the Halloween costume award for most subtle and creative- not to mention inexpensive. The stand-up comic took the easy way out and dressed up like his costar Ryan Reynolds in Free Guy. Ryan played Blue Shirt Guy, a bank teller who was unaware that he was a video game character, and Lil Rel played his best friend, the bank security guard. All Lil Rel needed for this costume was a blue short sleeve shirt, a tie, khaki pants, and a cup of coffee – with a “Guy” name tag!

NOTHING GOOD CAN COME OF THIS

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik were a bad match from the start. She’s a hard-working model, grateful for her success and filled with ambition. She is very sociable and aims to develop a career as a TV personality or correspondent. Grateful seems not to be in Zayn’s vocabulary – the drop-dead handsome singer just walked away from his One Direction group at the height of their popularity, left the other guys in the lurch, and petulantly complained that he was “anxious” and couldn’t tolerate all the public attention. Instead of addressing his anxiety problem, he moved to a remote ranch in Pennsylvania. He even uses his baby daughter as an excuse for being reclusive. These are all the ingredients for a huge custody battle over his and Gigi’s child that he keeps hidden.

PARIS JACKSON: LOW KEY HALLOWEEN

She can afford the best, but Paris Jackson chose to rummage through her closet and create her makeshift Halloween costume from bits and pieces. (Certainly she had as much fun as the people in expensive, elaborate, and skimpy attire) Question is: what exactly IS she supposed to be? One observer offered “a scarecrow” and another figured “a witch.” Looks like she has some fangs in her mouth so we’re going with the witch…

GIGI HADID FRANTICALLY TRYING TO CALM EVERYONE DOWN

We can just imagine Gigi Hadid on the phone right now with her mother Yolanda, BEGGING her NOT to file a police report about Zayn Malik supposedly hitting her mother during an argument. Malik admits to having a verbal altercation with Gigi’s mom at her Pennsylvania ranch, but he vehemently denies striking her. His fans are in an uproar and he’s been trying to de-escalate the situation on Twitter without success. Some are even assuming that Zayn and Gigi have split up, which has not happened YET. Famously reclusive Zayn is appalled that the argument has even become an issue – he calls it a private family matter. Meanwhile, of course everyone is dying to know WHAT the argument was ABOUT. CHRISSY TEIGEN: WHO NEEDS A SHIRT?

Exactly WHAT is Chrissy Teigen promoting in New York this week? Bras – or her Cravings cookbook? She’s been out and about every day and night – visiting the Wendy Williams show, appearing at bookstores etc, and apparently she left all her shirts at home in LA because she only wore bras- with everything. Granted, they were fancy and often colorful, but still jarring on a business day in New York. Chrissy is working on trying to be forgiven for her online bullying and the bras ARE a distraction. But doesn’t she get COLD?

LIZZO TONED IT DOWN ON A TUESDAY NIGHT

Lizzo looked happy walking into one of her favorite restaurants last night – Craig’s – but no one was happier than the restaurant host. Lizzo was wearing the most covered-up and modest outfit she’d ever worn to dinner there. Sometimes her skimpy and sheer apparel caused a buzz among the other diners. But tonight she was head-to-toe navy blue leather and there were no surprises in the back(!) Wonder what she thought about John Waters’ comment that if they ever make a movie about Divine, Lizzo should star…

MOLLY RINGWALD AND HER PRETTY IN PINK DAUGHTER

Molly Ringwald was an inspiration for many awkward high school teens back in the 80’s and we will never forget her in Breakfast Club or Sixteen Candles. She was only 16 herself when she made those films. Now she’s married with three children and she was seen at the American Ballet Theater Fall Gala in New York with her 12 year old daughter Adele. Molly says Adele is so “woke” that she doesn’t want her to see her old movies, which are full of offensive comments. Meanwhile, Adele has such a mature and interesting look that we can imagine her following in mom’s footsteps…
