BEN AFFLECK AND BRAD PITT HAVE A LOT IN COMMON

In Ben Affleck’s Howard Stern interview he remarked that while he was married to Jennifer Garner and they had three kids, that he felt trapped and would drink too much and fall asleep on the couch. Long after his divorce from Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt confessed that HE would smoke and drink too much and fall asleep on the couch. Both guys were obviously unhappy and didn’t know what to do about it. We’re betting Brad’s marriage to Angelina Jolie ended in a similar way. The DIFFERENCE between Brad and Ben is that Brad carefully chose his words and never mentioned Aniston in a negative way. By saying he felt “trapped” Ben implied that Garner was the cause and we don’t think he meant to. He has always admired and praised his ex-wife.

RILEY KEOUGH IS NOT EATING HER WAY THROUGH THE HOLIDAYS

Did NOT recognize Riley Keough in this photo of her leaving the Chanel Film Benefit Gala at the MoMa in New York because she looks so skinny! It seems her fans have been chatting incessantly online about her 25 pound weight loss. Some say Elvis’s granddaughter started losing weight because she was devastated after her brother Benjamin Keough’s suicide last year. Others have decided that she’s anorexic. Since most people would be thrilled to lose weight, we hope she’s happy with herself. Certainly she can indulge over the holidays more than the rest of us!

JUSTIN BIEBER ALMOST LOOKS GREAT, BUT NOT QUITE

Justin Bieber is in style-conscious London and he’s trying to fit in! Usually we rate Justin as one of the worst-dressed people in Hollywood and it’s especially grating because he has his own fashion company, Drew. Yesterday Justin and his wife Hayley evidently went shopping in London and he bought this cool looking plaid suit. Since he and Hayley were seeing The Nutcracker at the Royal Opera House that night, maybe he decided to actually dress up and ditch the usual shorts and hoody. Too bad he loused up the look with that awful hat and shoes, but at least he made an effort.

DID KIRK DOUGLAS ASSAULT NATALIE WOOD?

The Beverly Hills home where Kirk Douglas and his wife lived is up for sale and it includes a backyard Hollywood Walk of Fame with cement squares signed by Kirk’s celebrity friends. You can plainly see Frank Sinatra and Natalie Wood’s autographs in this photo. Coincidentally, Natalie’s younger sister Lana just wrote a book in which she charges Spartacus star Kirk Douglas with sexually assaulting Natalie during a meeting they had at the Chateau Marmont in the mid-fifties. Natalie was around 17 and Kirk was in his 30’s. Natalie and her mother decided not to press charges or tell anyone because it might ruin her career. If the assault story is true, were there more victims’ names on Kirk’s Walk of Fame? (No #MeToo in those days)

CHELSEA HANDLER CAN’T STOP TALKING ABOUT HER LOVE

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have rivals for the “Most Totally in Love” couple in Hollywood. Ben and Jennifer have been photographed kissing and snuggling in doorways and corners all over town. But Chelsea Handler and her comic boyfriend Jo Koy are definitely the most VERBAL about their romantic relationship. They can’t stop talking about how much they love each other! Chelsea admits “The last few years have been discouraging – but Jo renewed my faith in men.” Chelsea and Jo have been friends for YEARS, but one day she started looking at him differently. She said “I miraculously fell in love at 46- it can happen to anybody!” When they vacationed in Hawaii, Jo posted this photo on Instagram, describing Chelsea as “The woman of my dreams.”

LYNDA CARTER STILL LOOKS LIKE WONDER WOMAN

Nice to see the original Wonder Woman Lynda Carter looking adorable at a CNN Heroes All-Star Tribute in NY. We have two odd links to her. First of all, years ago her stylist /designer was a close friend and used to give us fashions he made for her that she only wore once, so we we were able to go out to the clubs wearing some fabulous Lynda Carter outfits. Many years later we bought a mid-century house in LA and another friend who happened to be a Wonder Woman fan, found an episode that was filmed right in front of the house, years before we bought it! So we feel a connection, and like to see Lynda doing well!

BAD BUNNY THRILLS FANS – AND KEEPS THEM ALIVE

Bad Bunny surprised us by looking pretty darn hot in concert this weekend. This was his first big concert since 9019 and he had plenty of new music. He released an astonishing THREE albums in 2020 and he was named most streamed artist of 2021 by Spotify. 45000 fans went nuts for him in Puerto Rico and as far as we know, 45000 walked out alive at the end…

FINALLY: A NEW WOODY ALLEN MOVIE

Last year’s HBO Woody Allen documentary Allen V. Farrow just about buried his career, but we still love his movies (and have serious doubts about his guilt.) His film Rifkin’s Festival opened the San Sebastian Film Festival a year ago, and took place at that same festival. The movie did well in Europe, as most Woody Allen movies do, and finally it is about to be released here in theaters and online in January. Film fans love it – it’s about a film studies professor (Wallace Shawn) and his publicist wife (Gena Gershon) who attend the glamorous film festival while suffering from marital angst. The wife seems too interested in her hot young director client and the husband runs amok. There’s always something to like in a Woody Allen movie and we agree with the guy who said “Appreciate Woody while he’s still around.”

Guess who showed up at Drake and Kanye’s Free Larry Hoover concert last night and grabbed a lot of attention? It’s no secret that Drake’s father Dennis Graham thoroughly enjoys being the father of a very famous rap star. JENNIFER ANISTON: WHAT WERE THE SAD MEMORIES THE FRIENDS REUNION BROUGHT BACK?

Jennifer Aniston surprised everyone when she revealed that filming the Friends Reunion was NOT EASY for her. She said it brought back a lot of memories that were not necessarily good. In fact it was the “hardest time of her life.” At one point she even had to walk off camera to compose herself. She explained that the reunion reminded her about what was going on in her life at that time. She didn’t explain- but we CAN. Jennifer’s marriage to Brad Pitt was unravelling and she desperately wanted it to work. (Brad has admitted he became a couch potato- smoking and drinking too much) Remember when Jennifer’s character Rachel on Friends became pregnant?
