THE OLSEN TWINS ACTUALLY SHOWED UP FOR BOB SAGET FUNERAL

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were the ONLY Full House main cast members who didn’t return for the Netflix reboot Fuller House in 2016, but the twins turned up for their TV dad Bob Saget’s funeral. The very reclusive (and tiny) twins, now 35, released a statement to People that they were deeply saddened by Bob’s death and said he was a loving, compassionate, and generous man. ASHLEY OLSEN HAS PLENTY OF PROTECTION

Tiny Ashley Olsen, 34, is surrounded by security as she leaves her New York fashion office. She and her boyfriend of four years, Louis Eisner, 31, are both Corona cautious and wear scarves or masks at all times. Eisner is the son of jewelry designer Lisa Eisner and he and Ashley have been spending weekends in the Hamptons. Ashley’s twin sister Mary-Kate is still negotiating her problematic divorce from French businessman Olivier Sarkozy, 51. At least the twins can feel somewhat secure about their fashion business The Row. The two are worth about 300 million dollars now and that should tide them over.

Her older sisters prefer dark funky fashion and they hide behind big sunglasses, while Elizabeth is more down to earth and fresh.

Ashley Olsen wants to resume her acting career and she’s set her sights on the Amanda Knox story. Ashley was mesmerized as Amanda’s arrest and imprisonment for murder, and retrial unfolded on the news and she’s trying to buy the rights to her story for herself. Her TV movie will be different from the Lifetime version starring Hayden Panettiere – it will be told from Amanda’s personal perspective as a young girl in trouble – not from a legal point of view.

Fashionista and successful designer Mary-Kate Olsen had Brits howling at an outfit she wore this week. True, Mary Kate doesn’t dress like a typical sexed-up female Hollywood celebrity with plunging necklines and skin tight mini skirts. That’s what people in the UK are accustomed to seeing and the look that is unfortunately copied by young girls around the world. Mary-Kate has come a long way from her California girl roots and we secretly love the way the Mary-Kate and Ashley flaunt fur to aggravate PETA. Because the Olsen twins retain their right to wear fur, PETA has started an anti-Olsen campaign and calls them “the Trollsen Twins.” Personally, we prefer this quirky (okay, a tad mature) look to the cookie-cutter look we see everywhere.

A friend of ours who doesn’t mind paying a hundred dollars for lunch, took a cigarette break outside the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel. When he got outside he realized he forgot his pack and noticed two elegant girls dressed in black puffing next to him. They were oblivious to the California sunshine – dressed in New York layers of very expensive dark clothing and long skirts and dark glasses. He asked one ”Could I bum a cigarette?” “No problem.” She replied. At that moment he realized they were Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, and a family from Texas spotted them and started begging for photos. The Olsens politely declined, but the noisy Texans persisted until the twins put out their cigarettes and went inside. Perhaps they’re in town planning to dress some of their Hollywood friends in clothing from their expensive line “The Row,” for Oscar night. Fashion, rather than acting, seems to be what they’re into these days.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are shopping in Paris in inclement weather, but that doesn’t stop them from sporting their big dark glasses. Do they remove them when they get INSIDE the stores? Maybe they’re afraid no one will realize they are celebrities without the shades. Actually the big guy carrying the umbrella draws a lot of attention to the twins already.

They’re keeping company with New York’s top designers since their high end collection “The Row” became so successful. The twins, now 24, were covered up in their signature black and white at the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York and brought a model, Sasha Pivovarova, wearing one of their outfits. Being accepted into New York’s upper echelon fashion world is not easy.

ASHLEY OLSEN TOASTED “BEING ALIVE” AFTER HER UNSCHEDULED LANDING

According to our eyewitness, Ashley Olsen remained calm during her close call on that Ny to LA United flight that had to make an “unscheduled” landing at Dulles Airport. “Ashley had four seats in a row in business class – one for her, her boyfriend Justin Bartha, her French bulldog puppy, and her bodyguard. The people in first class were really frightened because they saw the flames and smoke coming out of the cockpit.” Attendants raced around grabbing fire extinguishers, but passenger Phil Lobel, (traveling with his adorable dog Lucy) a Hollywood publicist, told us he didn’t realize how serious the situation was until he saw all the firetrucks and emergency equipment waiting for them at Dulles airport. The passengers, including Ashley, all met in the bar to toast “being alive” after the successful landing.
