THEY ALL SANG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MADONNA IN SICILY

Madonna is not one to ignore her birthday – even if it happens to be her 64th. She LOVES a big party and flew a boatload of friends to her favorite place in Sicily, an 18th century Sicilian palace, for a lavish celebration. She’s been planning the big day (August 16) for months, according to The Sun, and will spare no expense for the dinner and live band – there HAS to be dancing. This year it will be interesting to see WHO she dances with – she broke up with her dancer boyfriend Ahlamalik Williams a few months ago, and has been on the prowl in fishnet stockings ever since…

IGGY AZALEA IS READY FOR HER COMEBACK

Last year Iggy Azalea announced she was taking a break from performing because she was surrounded by “negative energy.” Boyfriend problems? Obviously she had a change of heart because she hopped onstage during Pitbull’s performance this week in Toronto and sang all her best songs. Turns out, she will be appearing with Pitbull during the rest of his US tour. But something is very DIFFERENT about Iggy now – to be specific- her LOOKS. Gone is the sweet face and innocent blonde curls- Iggy could now pass for a Kardashian! Did she take time off to do something to her face?

TIFFANY HADDISH IS LOOKING FOR A STAND-UP GUY

Have to admit we were HUGELY disappointed in Tiffany Haddish when we heard about her reaction to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars. Tiffany swooned that the slap was “the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen!” She went on to explain that she was thrilled to see a Black man stand up for his wife and she was happy to know “There are still men out there who CARE about their women.” We totally disagreed with her point of view, but it led us to start thinking about the men in her life. Maybe she never had a guy who stood up for her! Keep in mind, she had split with her quarantine partner Common shortly before the Oscars and she emphasized that they did NOT break up because of (that old stand-by) “conflicting schedules.” We’re guessing Common just was not a stand-up guy for her. Tiffany also talks about her adventures in real estate in this month’s Cosmopolitan…

SORRY RIHANNA: WORST DRESSED THIS WEEK

Hands down- no competition- Rihanna takes the award for Worst Dressed this week. What WAS she thinking? A woman in the fashion business should know better. Rihanna combined a very short cropped denim micro miniskirt with gigantic baggy boots- granted, there is a peek-a-boo element, but the boots make her look like a truck from every angle. They are probably designer boots that cost a fortune, but why pay a ton of money to look shorter and wider? Grossly unflattering.

WHY DIANE KEATON CHOSE BARE FEET FOR WALK OF FAME

Diane Keaton was giddy with excitement today because she put her handprints and footprints in cement in front of the Chinese Theater on Hollywood Blvd. She took a close look at the wet cement and decided no way was she going to dip her $1300 Maxfield black boots into THAT! So she sat down and removed her expensive boots and polka dot socks and used her BARE FEET for the footprints. Come to think of it, she might be the ONLY pair of bare feet on the Walk of Fame. Her adopted kids, Dexter, 27, and Duke, 22, were at the ceremony to cheer her on.

RINGO STARR CAN’T STOP DRUMMING

When it comes to Beatles, we see a lot of Paul McCartney around – in concert, on vacations, interviews etc. But we tend to forget that Ringo Starr, 82, lives in LA. He has homes in several countries but spends most of his time here. Did you know he’s the richest drummer in the world? (Estimated: 350 million) After The Beatles split up, he got involved in more money-making projects than any of his bandmates. He married model (and former Bond Girl) Barbara Bach in 1981, and in 1988 they checked into rehab together. That cemented their relationship, and they’ve been together ever since. (Ringo and his All-Starr Band are appearing at The Greek Theater in October)

We’ve seen a lot of photos of Olivia Newton John since she passed on, but this has to be our absolute favorite. THIS TIME IT’S NOT CHRIS PINE’S PREMIERE

Here’s a switch. Chris Pine and his father Robert Pine are at the Netflix premiere of the Apple limited series Five Days at Memorial– they are often seen together at opening nights for Chris’s movies, but this happens to be the premiere of Robert’s project. (You might remember, Robert Pine starred on CHiPs with Erik Estrada and Larry Wilcox– he played Joe, their exasperated supervisor/boss.) Five Days at Memorial is a true story about a catastrophically damaged New Orleans hospital and what happened there after Hurricane Katrina- both natural disaster and human error. The best thing about this photo is seeing Chris without a beard.

ADELE’S HAPPINESS DEPENDS ON HER BOYFRIEND

Adele’s love life is a never-ending source of fascination. We didn’t realize that in January when she posted that last-minute tearful video apologizing to fans because she had to cancel her Las Vegas residency (“my show ain’t ready,”) she had a LOT going on in her life. Number one problem was her boyfriend, sports manager Rich Paul– he wasn’t around when she needed him. AND she was in the middle of buying Sylvester Stallone’s 21,000 sq ft mega-mansion (12 bathrooms!) in Beverly Hills for 58 million dollars at that same time. It turns out, maybe cancelling was the RIGHT thing to do, because it all ended well. She has rescheduled the Las Vegas performances for 48 million dollars, and Rich has moved into the huge house WITH her. She got what she wanted.

KATIE HOLMES LIKES ‘EM YOUNG TOO!

Just a little younger is fine with Katie Holmes, 43, – she appreciates a guy who likes to have fun. She’s been seeing her new boyfriend Bobby Wooten III, 33, since April, and now they seem to be together almost every day. Bobby is a musician (bass player) and he teaches music classes occasionally at NYU. He’s appeared on Broadway with his idol, David Byrne, he’s toured with numerous bands,- currently he’s working with Carly Rae Jepsen. Katie’s last boyfriend, Emilio Vitolo Jr was a chef nine years younger, but we never thought they made a great couple. He was cute, but he REALLY enjoyed being followed by paparazzi when he was with Katie, and that’s not a good sign…
